Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio are the key param- eters for evaluating the rock brittleness in shale gas exploration because their combination relationship can quantitatively characterize the rock brittleness. The high- value anomaly of Young's modulus and the low-value anomaly of Poisson's ratio represent high brittleness of shale. The technique of pre-stack amplitude variation with angle inversion allows geoscientists to estimate Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio from seismic data. A model constrained basis pursuit inversion method is proposed for stably estimating Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio. Test results of synthetic gather data show that Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio can be estimated reasonably. With the novel method, the inverted Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio of real field data focus the layer boundaries better, which is helpful for us to evaluate the brittleness of shale gas reservoirs. The results of brittleness evaluation show a good agreement with the results of well interpretation.展开更多

Based on these concerns, in consideration of the quadratic pressure gradient term, a basic moving boundary model is constructed for a one-dimensional seepage flow problem with a threshold pressure gradient. Owing to a strong nonlinearity and the existing moving boundary in the mathematical model, a corresponding numerical solution method is presented. First, a spatial coordinate transformation method is adopted in order to transform the system of partial differential equa- tions with moving boundary conditions into a closed system with fixed boundary conditions; then the solution can be sta- bly numerically obtained by a fully implicit finite-difference method. The validity of the numerical method is verified by a published exact analytical solution. Furthermore, to compare with Darcy's flow problem, the exact analytical solution for the case of Darcy's flow considering the quadratic pressure gradient term is also derived by an inverse Laplace transform. A comparison of these model solutions leads to the conclu- sion that such moving boundary problems must incorporate the quadratic pressure gradient term in their governing equa- tions; the sensitive effects of the quadratic pressure gradient term tend to diminish, with the dimensionless threshold pres- sure gradient increasing for the one-dimensional problem.展开更多

In this paper, a local partial least squares based soft sensing method for multi-output processes is proposed to accomplish process states division and local model adaptation, which are two key steps in development of local learning based soft sensors. An adaptive way of partitioning process states without redundancy is proposed based on F-test, where unique local time regions are extracted.Subsequently, a novel anti-over-fitting criterion is proposed for online local model adaptation which simultaneously considers the relationship between process variables and the information in labeled and unlabeled samples. Case study is carried out on two chemical processes and simulation results illustrate the superiorities of the proposed method from several aspects.展开更多

The crack-induced HTI anisotropy can be characterized by the weakly anisotropic parameters introduced by Thomsen. The seismic scattering theory can be utilized for the inversion for the anisotropic parameters in weakly aniso- tropic and heterogeneous HTI media. Based on the seismic scattering theory, we first derived the linearized PP- and PS-wave reflection coefficients in terms of P- and S-wave impedances, density as well as three anisotropic parameters in HTI media. Then, we proposed a novel Bayesian Mar- kov chain Monte Carlo inversion method of PP- and PS- wave for six elastic and anisotropic parameters directly. Tests on synthetic azimuthal seismic data contaminated by random errors demonstrated that this method appears more accurate, anti-noise and stable owing to the usage of the constrained PS-wave compared with the standards inver- sion scheme taking only the PP-wave into account.展开更多

These composites and catalysts were characterized by XRD, BET, TPD, TPR, HRTEM and FT-IR spectroscopy. Compared with the NiMo catalyst supported onγ-Al_2 O_3(NiMo/γ-Al_2 O_3), these NiMo/AZ-x catalysts show higher activity in the hydrodesulfurization(HDS) of FCC diesel, and the HDS activity increases with an increasing HY mass content in the composites, provided that the HY mass fraction does not exceed 20%. Compared with γ-Al_2 O_3, the introduction of nanosized HY zeolite can improve the porous structure of the composites, which can benefit the mass transfer of the reactant molecules. Furthermore, the nanosized HY zeolite in the composites can modify their surface properties which would increase the ratio of metal species to be transformed into reducible phase in low temperature region and modify the morphology of the MoS2 phases to form more multi-stacked MoS_2 active phases with increased dispersion of edges and corners of Mo atoms.展开更多

However, most similarity criterions in JITL are computed in the input space only while ignoring important output information, which may lead to inaccurate construction of relevant sample set. To solve this problem, we propose a novel supervised feature extraction method suitable for the regression problem called supervised local and non-local structure preserving projections(SLNSPP), in which both input and output information can be easily and effectively incorporated through a newly defined similarity index. The SLNSPP can not only retain the virtue of locality preserving projections but also prevent faraway points from nearing after projection, which endues SLNSPP with powerful discriminating ability. Such two good properties of SLNSPP are desirable for JITL as they are expected to enhance the accuracy of similar sample selection. Consequently, we present a SLNSPP-JITL framework for developing adaptive soft sensor, including a sparse learning strategy to limit the scale and update the frequency of database. Finally, two case studies are conducted with benchmark datasets to evaluate the performance of the proposed schemes. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of LNSPP and SLNSPP.展开更多

However, these studies have been barely carried in the Bohai Sea. The sea-ice microwave scattering mechanism was first developed for the thin sea ice with slight roughness in the Bohai Sea in the winter of 2012, and included the backscattering coefficients which were measured on the different conditions of three bands(L, C and X), two polarizations(HH and VV), and incident angles of 20° to 60°, using a ground-based scatterometer and the synchronous physical parameters of the sea-ice temperature, density, thickness, salinity, and so on. The theoretical model of the sea-ice electromagnetic scattering is obtained based on these physical parameters. The research regarding the sea-ice microwave scattering mechanism is carried out through two means, which includes the comparison between the field microwave scattering data and the simulation results of the theoretical model, as well as the feature analysis of the four components of the sea-ice electromagnetic scattering. It is revealed that the sea-ice microwave scattering data and the theoretical simulation results vary in the same trend with the incident angles. Also, there is a visible variant in the sensitivity of every component to the different bands. For example, the C and X bands are sensitive to the top surface, the X band is sensitive to the scatterers, and the L and C bands are sensitive to the bottom surface, and so on. It is suggested that the features of the sea-ice surfaces and scatterers can be retrieved by the further research in the future. This experiment can provide an experimental and theoretical foundation for research regarding the sea-ice microwave scattering characteristics in the Bohai Sea.展开更多

Although the coal-bearing basins of the China Sea area are faults and depressed basins, they come up in groups. The overall structures are suitable for the development of coal-bearing deposition. The continuity of basin groups are good, and the coal-bearing depositions are thick. For example, the coal-bearing deposi- tion is more than a kilometer thick at the Qiongdongnan Basin and Xihu Sag in the East China Sea, which the continental Pa- leogene coal basins cannot reach. Research shows that the coal accumulation basins in the sea area consist of many sags. There are two types of coal accumulation sags: half-graben sag and graben sag. In terms of water depth, coal accumulation sags can also be classified as deep-water half-graben sag and shallow-water half-graben sag; the graben sag is the deep-water sag. There are two distinct coal-accumulated zones in the basin: gentle slope and steep slope, with the gentle slope being the dominant one. The marshes of the supratidal zone and intertidal zone in a tidal flat system is favorable for the coal accumulation process widely taking place. There are two types of peat accumulation: autochthonous accumulation and allochthonous accumulation. Because of tectonic activities in the basins, allochthonous accumulations may be the more important form of coal-forming ac- tivities in the sea area. The very thick coal-bearing deposition in the sea area provides a rich material base for the assemblage of coal-related gas. Also, as a result of the deep burial depth, the degree of coal metamorphism is relatively high, so the coal-bearing strata become good hydrocarbon source rocks.展开更多

文摘Brittleness of rock plays a significant role in exploration and development of shale gas reservoirs. The results of brittleness evaluation show a good agreement with the results of well interpretation.

文摘A relatively high formation pressure gradient can exist in seepage flow in low-permeable porous media with a threshold pressure gradient, and a significant error may then be caused in the model computation by neglecting the quadratic pressure gradient term in the governing equations. A comparison of these model solutions leads to the conclu- sion that such moving boundary problems must incorporate the quadratic pressure gradient term in their governing equa- tions; the sensitive effects of the quadratic pressure gradient term tend to diminish, with the dimensionless threshold pres- sure gradient increasing for the one-dimensional problem.

文摘Local learning based soft sensing methods succeed in coping with time-varying characteristics of processes as well as nonlinearities in industrial plants. Case study is carried out on two chemical processes and simulation results illustrate the superiorities of the proposed method from several aspects.

文摘Analysis of the in situ stress orientation and magnitude in the No.4 Structure of Nanpu Sag was performed on the basis of data obtained from borehole breakout and acoustic emission measurements. On the basis of mechanical experiments, logging interpretation, and seismic data,a 3 D geological model and heterogeneous rock mechanics field of the reservoir were constructed.Finite element simulation techniques were then used for the detailed prediction of the 3 D stress field. The results indicated that the maximum horizontal stress orientation in the study area was generally NEE-SWW trending, with significant changes in the in situ stress orientation within and between fault blocks.Along surfaces and profiles, stress magnitudes were discrete and the in situ stress belonged to theⅠa-type.Observed inter-strata differences were characterized as five different types of in situ stress profile.Faults were the most important factor causing large distributional differences in the stress field of reservoirs within the complex fault blocks. The next important influence on the stress field was the reservoir’s rock mechanics parameters, which impacted on the magnitudes of in situ stress magnitudes. This technique provided a theoretical basis for more efficient exploration and development of low-permeability reservoirs within complex fault blocks.

文摘A single set of vertically aligned cracks embedded in a purely isotropic background may be con- sidered as a long-wavelength effective transversely iso- tropy (HTI) medium with a horizontal symmetry axis. Tests on synthetic azimuthal seismic data contaminated by random errors demonstrated that this method appears more accurate, anti-noise and stable owing to the usage of the constrained PS-wave compared with the standards inver- sion scheme taking only the PP-wave into account.

文摘Vortex-induced vibration is quite common during the operation of offshore risers or umbilical cables, commonly leading to serious damage to risers and reduced service life.Vortex-induced vibration of the offshore risers could be effectively suppressed by fairing devices. In this paper,a newly developed vortex-induced vibration fairing and large eddy simulation model of the FLUENT software were used for numerical analysis, experimental research and stimulating vortex-induced vibration at 0.1–2 ms^-1.The data of the numerical model with fairing was compared and analyzed to study the vortex shedding frequency at different Reynolds numbers and changes in drag and lift coefficients. The displacement state of 12 in risers with and without fairing was experimentally tested using a five degree-of-freedom balance. The vortex-induced vibration effect of the fairing was tested at different velocities. The result shows the drag reduction effect of the fairing is more obvious when the flow velocity is 0.4–1.2 ms^-1 and the maximum drag reduction reaches 55.6%when the flow velocity is 0.6 ms^-1.Additionally,the drag reduction effect was obvious when the flow velocity was greater than 1.3 ms^-1 and less than 0.3.The result indicates that the developed 12 in fairing, with good potential in engineering applications, has good vortex-induced vibration-suppression effects.

文摘Composite materials(AZ-x) were prepared by mixing the nanosized HY zeolite and γ-Al_2 O_3 using the sol-gel mixing method and were employed as the support for NiMo catalysts(NiMo/AZ-x). Furthermore, the nanosized HY zeolite in the composites can modify their surface properties which would increase the ratio of metal species to be transformed into reducible phase in low temperature region and modify the morphology of the MoS2 phases to form more multi-stacked MoS_2 active phases with increased dispersion of edges and corners of Mo atoms.

文摘In soft sensor field, just-in-time learning(JITL) is an effective approach to model nonlinear and time varying processes. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of LNSPP and SLNSPP.

文摘Microwave remote sensing has become the primary means for sea-ice research, and has been supported by a great deal of field experiments and theoretical studies regarding sea-ice microwave scattering. This experiment can provide an experimental and theoretical foundation for research regarding the sea-ice microwave scattering characteristics in the Bohai Sea.

文摘The yield stress of waxy crude oil is a fundamental parameter in the calculation of pipelining technique and analysis of flow safety for the heated oil transported through pipeline.Daqing crude oil was studied and the variation of yield stress with shear history was explored through simulation experiment of pipelining. It is found that the effect of throughput variation or shear rate on yield stress is not obvious. With the decrease of final dynamic cooling temperature, the yield stress of waxy crude oil decreases, but there exists a little increase at the beginning. The prediction model of yield stress for waxy crude oil under the condition of shutdown is developed and it can be used to predict the yield stress of Daqing crude oil at certain heating temperature, final dynamic cooling temperature and measurement temperature. For the 139 groups of yield stress data of Daqing crude oil from the simulation experiment of pipelining, the result of prediction with this model shows that the average relative deviation between the yield stress measured and predicted is 30.27%,and the coefficient of correlation is 0.962 3.

文摘Three-dimensional graphene-based aerogels have promising applications in oil adsorption and environmental restoration. However, current research of graphene-based aerogels is often hindered by high preparation cost, poor mechanical properties and low recycling efficiency. Here, superelastic graphene aerogel(SGA)was prepared through one-step freezing and twice hydrothermal reduction followed by drying under ambient pressure. The simple atmospheric drying provides a possibility for large-scale preparation of high performance graphene-based aerogels. The prepared SGA not only has the ability of highly repeatable compression rebound, but also exhibits excellent oil adsorption performance. And the overall performance of SGA is better than most of graphenebased aerogels prepared by freeze drying. After the SGA was cyclically compressed with 70%strain for 300 times,it can return to the original shape and height substantially.SGA retained about 90%of the initial adsorption capacity after 50 cycles of adsorption and compression regeneration for cyclohexane.

文摘To meet the requirements for fast and efficient gas-solid separation at the outlet of a gas-solid concurrent downflow fluidized bed(downer),a new horizontal gas-solid rapid separator was designed based on the joint action of centrifugal and inertial forces.Under the same experimental conditions,a fluid catalytic cracking(FCC)catalyst was used as the material(with a particle density of 1500 kg/m3 and a mean particle size of 45.8μm)to experimentally investigate the effects of the insertion length of gas outlet pipe, the bypass cylinder, the gas outlet direction, and the secondary separation structure on the separator performance. The results showed that with an inlet gas flow rate of 14.5 m/s and a gas phase solid content of 60―835 g/m3,the downer system achieved a gas-solid separation efficiency of above 99.5%,with the separator’s pressure drop within 1846 Pa(when the separator included a bypass cylinder and a secondary separation structure with a proper insertion length of gas outlet pipe).

文摘The Paleogene coal accumulation basins of China are part of the global Tertiary coal-accumulated zone of the Pacific Rim located in the eastern coastal provinces and areas. Also, as a result of the deep burial depth, the degree of coal metamorphism is relatively high, so the coal-bearing strata become good hydrocarbon source rocks.
