Using the numerical simulating technique, the temperature distribution was discussed, the effect of parameters such as upper conduct distance (UCD), cooling water rate of flow, pouring temperature and liquid column height on casting velocity were studied, the relationship among them was confirmed finally. According to the calculated results, the hot top EMC shaping system was designed and a lot of experiments were performed. The pure Al thin slabs of 480 mm×20 mm×850 mm were made successfully. Sn 4.5%Pb as a simulator of high melting point metal was continuously cast under different conditions. The results show that multi electromagnetic fields can eliminate surface defects, and coarse columnar grains of the solidification structure is turned into equiaxed crystal with the increase of magnetic flux density. Moreover, finer equiaxed crystal structure is obtained when rapidly solidified sheet is fed into the mold during continuous casting.[展开更多

By following the water particle on the water surface, the third order Stokes wave transform is simulated by the numerical wave flume technique. This work aimed at evaluating the combined use of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO)-enhanced and gadolinium set in distinguishing HCCs from regenerative nodules (RNs) in a rat model induced by diethylnitrosamine (DEN). METHODS: DEN-induced HCC model rats (n=40) and control rats (n=10) were studied. From weeks 16 to 19 after DEN administration, 4 animals were scanned every week. The hepatic changes were tested with a 1.5 Tesla magnet, and MR images of SPIO-enhanced and gadolinium set were obtained. According to the pathologic changes, the tumorigenesis was divided into HCC and RN (diameter of nodules >= 3 mm). Diagnostic accuracy of the combined SPIO-enhanced and gadolinium set and the gadolinium set alone was evaluated using receiver-operating characteristic curves. Sensitivity and specificity of the combined SPIO-enhanced and gadolinium set and the gadolinium set alone were calculated. RESULTS: The listed tests were completed in 29 rats (21 treated and 8 controls). One hundred and six nodules (82 HCCs, 24 RNs) were analyzed. The Az value and sensitivity with the combined SPIO-enhanced and gadolinium set (Az 0.94, sensitivity 0.96) were higher than those with the gadolinium set alone (Az 0.92, sensitivity 0.89). Using the combined SPIO-enhanced and gadolinium set led to detection of 6 nodules which were negative in the gadolinium set alone and 3 nodules were correctly characterized. CONCLUSION: Using the combined SPIO-enhanced and gadolinium set improved the detectability of HCCs and the SPIO-enhanced imaging compensated for the gadolinium set in differentiating HCCs from RNs in a rat model.展开更多

The deformation process is mainly controlled by grain boundary sliding mechanism. Both dislocation climb and disperse silicon phase are also contributed to it. As an example a special calculation result is given including the analysis of wave parameters for the data of the North Atlantic Basin and the computation of motion and load encountered by two container ships CSLR and CSBV in different loading conditions. Discriminative Latent Model(DLM) is proposed for Multiword Expressions(MWEs) extraction in Chinese text to improve the performance of Machine Translation(MT) system such as Template Based MT(TBMT).For MT systems to be...Discriminative Latent Model(DLM) is proposed for Multiword Expressions(MWEs) extraction in Chinese text to improve the performance of Machine Translation(MT) system such as Template Based MT(TBMT).For MT systems to become of further practical use,they need to be enhanced with MWEs processing capability.As our study towards this goal,we propose DLM,which is developed for sequence labeling task including hidden structures,to extract MWEs for MT systems.DLM combines the advantages of existing discriminative models,which can learn hidden structures in sequence labeling task.In our evaluations,DLM achieves precisions ranging up to 90.73% for some type of MWEs,which is higher than state-of-the-art discriminative models.Such results demonstrate that it is feasible to automatically identify many Chinese MWEs using our DLM tool.With MWEs processing model,BLEU score of MT system has also been increased by up to 0.3 in close test.展开更多

But differen...It has been shown that Boussinesq type equations, which include the lowest order effects of nonlinearity and frequency dispersion, can provide an accurate description of wave evolution in coastal regions. But different linear dispersion characteristics of the equation can be obtained by different integrating method. In this paper, a new form of the Boussinesq equation is derived by use of two different layer horizontal velocity variables instead of the commonly used depth-averaged velocity or an arbitrary layer velocity. This significantly improves the linear dispersion properties of the Boussinesq equation and enables it to be applied to a wider range of water depth.展开更多
