But there are some shortages of wedge detecting method in the original GRECO literature. A new method for collecting the edge pixels and wedge parameters is presented in this paper. An expression of edge diffraction field in the original GRECO literature is in error, the error-corrected formulas are derived by using method of equivalent edge currents (MEC) and physical theory of diffraction (PTD). Finally, the total RCS expression is given by physical optics (PO) and PTD method. The computing results are in close agreement with the measured data.展开更多

Diamond-like carbon(DLC)films were prepared on Si(100) substrates by ion implantation from an electron cyclotron resonance microwave plasma source.During the implantation,650W microwave power was used to produce disch...Diamond-like carbon(DLC)films were prepared on Si(100) substrates by ion implantation from an electron cyclotron resonance microwave plasma source.During the implantation,650W microwave power was used to produce discharge plasma with methane as working gas,and-20KV voltage pulses were applied to the substrate holder to accelerate ions in the plasma.Confocal Raman spectra confirmed the DLC characteristics of the films.Fourier-transform infrared characterization indicates that the DLC films were composed of sp^3 and sp^2 carbonbonded hydrogen.The hardness of the films was evaluated with a Nano Indenter-XP System.The result shows that the highest hardness valus was 14.6 GPa.The surface rms roughness of the films was as low as 0.104nm measured with an atomic force microscope.The friction coeffcient of the films was checked using a ball-on-disk microtribometer.The average friction coefficient is approximately 0.122.展开更多

At high application level, overlay networks can be used for applications, which are difficult to deploy in existing IP architecture with some specific reasons, e.g., they need high-level information, which is hard to obtain by underlying layers. To address the heterogeneity of today's Internet, overlay networks provide ways to service availability and desirable performance while retaining scalability. In contrast to changing the existing network layer, overlay networks allow bootstrapping, which is most important in the development of Internet infrastructure. Various applications of overlay networking are clarified in this paper. Research challenges including routing and searching in overlay networking are also identified.展开更多

The theorem provides some interpretations about the underlying mechanism of various GS phenomena in nature. As a direct application of the theorem, a chaos-based secure Internet communication scheme is proposed. Moreover, a cellular neural network (CNN) of Chen's chaotic circuits with GS property is designed and studied. Some applica...With the flooding of pornographic information on the Internet, how to keep people away from that offensive information is becoming one of the most important research areas in network information security. Some applications which can block or filter such information are used. Approaches in those systems can be roughly classified into two kinds: metadata based and content based. With the development of distributed technologies, content based filtering technologies will play a more and more important role in filtering systems. Keyword matching is a content based method used widely in harmful text filtering. Experiments to evaluate the recall and precision of the method showed that the precision of the method is not satisfactory, though the recall of the method is rather high. According to the results, a new pornographic text filtering model based on reconfirming is put forward. Experiments showed that the model is practical, has less loss of recall than the single keyword matching method, and has higher precision.展开更多

The channels at the training bauds are estimated using the EM (expectation-maximization) algorithm, while the channels at the data bauds are estimated based on the method for modelling the time-varying channel as the linear combination of several time-invariant " Doppler channels". Beam halo-chaos in high-current accelerators has become a key concerned issue because it can cause excessive radioactivity from the accelerators therefore significantly limits their applications in industry,medicine,a...Beam halo-chaos in high-current accelerators has become a key concerned issue because it can cause excessive radioactivity from the accelerators therefore significantly limits their applications in industry,medicine,and national defense.Some general engineering methods for chaos control have been developed in recent years,but they generally are unsuccessful for beam halo-chaos suppression due to many technical constraints.Beam halo-chaos is essentially a spatiotemporal chaotic motion within a high power proton accelerator.In this paper,some efficient nonlinear control methods,including wavelet function feedback control as a special nonlinear control method,are proposed for controlling beam halo-chaos under five kinds of the initial proton beam distributions (i.e.,Kapchinsky-Vladimirsky,full Gauss,3-sigma Gauss,water-bag,and parabola distributions) respectively.Particles-in-cell simulations show that after control of beam halo-chaos,the beam halo strength factor is reduced to zero,and other statistical physical quantities of beam halo-chaos are doubly reduced.The methods we developed is very effective for suppression of proton beam halo-chaos in a periodic focusing channel of accelerator.Some potential application of the beam halo-chaos control in experiments is finally pointed out.展开更多

TMLI uses the transformation matrixes produced by MLLR from selected training speakers and the testing speaker. With only 3 adaptation sentences, the performance shows a 12.12% word error rate reduction. As the number of adaptation sentences increases, the performance saturates quickly. To improve the behavior of TMLI for large amounts of adaptation data, the TMLI+MAP method which combines TMLI with MAP technique is proposed. Experimental results show TMLI+MAP achieved better recognition accuracy than MAP and MLLR+MAP for both small and large amounts of adaptation data. TM methods treat the reference samples which participate in clutter power estimates equally, but this processing will not realize the effective estimates of clutter power.
