Firstly, under the condition of non-perturbation, we obtain many shapes of relative orbital configurations when the semi-major axes of satellites are equal. These shapes can be lines, ellipses or distorted closed curves. Secondly, on the basis of the analysis of J2 effect on relative orbital configurations, we find out that J2 effect can induce two kinds of changes of relative orbital configurations. They are distortion and drifting, respectively. In addition, when J2 perturbation is concerned, we also find that the semi-major axes of the leading and following satellites should not be the same exactly in order to decrease the J2 effect. The relationship of relative orbital elements and J2 effect is obtained through simulations. Finally, the minimum relation perturbation conditions are established in order to reduce the influence of the J2 effect. The results show that the minimum relation perturbation conditions can reduce the J2 effect significantly when the orbital element differences are small enough, and they can become rules for the design of satellite formation flying.展开更多

As a kind of dynamic fracturephenomena, rockburst has characteristics of strain localization, which is considered as aone-dimensional shear problem subjected to normal compressive stress and tangential shear stress. The constitutive relation of rock material is bilinear (elastic and strain softening) and sensitiveto shear strain rate. The solutions proposed based on gradient-dependent plasticity show thatintense plastic strain is concentrated in fault band and the thickness of the band depends on thecharacteristic length of rock material. The post-peak stiffness of the fault band was determinedaccording to the constitutive parameters of rock material and shear strain rate. Fault bandundergoing strain softening and elastic rock mass outside the band constitute a system and theinstability criterion of the system was proposed based on energy theory. The criterion depends onthe constitutive relation of rock material, the structural size and the strain rate. The staticresult regardless of the strain rate is the special case of the present analytical solution. Highstrain rate can lead to instability of the system.展开更多

The Navier-Stokes equations in a finite volume form are solved with a moving grid system, based on a time dependent coordinate transformation. To investigate the vortex-shedding characteristics behind the circular cylinder and the effects of Reynolds number and other non-dimensional parameters such as reduced amplitude and reduced frequency, several numerical schemes have been tested with different amplitude and frequency close to St0 and a harmonic at each Reynolds number. Present numerical results indicate several types of vortex shedding mode which is known mainly depending on the reduced frequency and also the reduced amplitude, which is called synchronization or lock-on.展开更多

The screw dislocation may be located outside or inside the inhomogeneity. An efficient complex variable method for the complex multiply connected region is developed, and the general solutions to the problem are derived. As illustrative examples, solutions in explicit series form for complex potentials are presented in the case of one or two interfacial cracks. Image forces on the dislocation are calculated by using the Peach-Koehler formula. The influence of crack geometries and material properties on the image forces is evaluated and discussed. It is shown that the interfacial crack has a significant effect on the equilibrium position of the dislocation near an elliptical-arc interface. The main results indicate, when the length of the crack goes up to a critical value, the presence of the interfacial crack can change the interaction mechanism between a screw dislocation and an elliptical inclusion. The present solutions can include a number of previously known results as special cases.展开更多

The disturbed map of period one single-impact motion is derived analytically. A center manifold theorem technique is applied to reduce the Poincaré map to a three-dimensional one, and the normal form map associated with Hopf-flip bifurcation is obtained. Dynamical behavior of the system, near the point of codimension two bifurcation, is investigated by using qualitative analysis and numerical simulation. It is found that near the point of Hopf-flip bifurcation there exists not only Hopf bifurcation of period one single-impact motion, but also Hopf bifurcation of period two double-impact motion. The results from simulation show that there exists an interesting torus doubling bifurcation near the codimension two bifurcation. The torus doubling bifurcation makes the quasi-periodic attractor associated with period one single-impact motion transform to the other quasi-periodic attractor represented by two attracting closed circles. The torus bifurcation is qualitatively different from the typical torus doubling bifurcation occurring in the vibro-impact systems. Different routes from period one single-impact motion to chaos are observed by numerical simulation.展开更多

The optimal solutions of these functions and the stress distribution on the structure are calculated and compared through an example, and their characteristics are analyzed. Finally we put forward two new objective functions, curvature and deformation energy for pipe system optimization. The calculations show that using the curvature as the objective function can reflect the case of minimal stress, and the optimization results using the deformation energy represent lesser and more uni- form stress distribution. The calculation results and process showed that the genetic algorithms can effectively implement damping design of engine pipelines and satisfy the efficient engineering design requirement.展开更多

文摘The vibration failure of pipe system of aeroengine seriously influences the safety of aircraft. Its damping design is determined by the selection of the design target, method and their feasibility.Five objective functions for the vibration design of a pipeline or pipe system are introduced, namely, the frequency, amplitude, transfer ratio, curvature and deformation energy as options for the optimization process. The genetic algorithms(GA)are adopted as the opti- mization method,in which the selection of the adaptive genetic operators and the method of implementation of the GA process are crucial. The optimization procedure for all the above ob- jective functions is carried out using GA on the basis of finite element software-MSC/NASTRAN. The calculation results and process showed that the genetic algorithms can effectively implement damping design of engine pipelines and satisfy the efficient engineering design requirement.
