Under investigation in this paper is a complex modified Korteweg–de Vries(KdV) equation, which describes the propagation of short pulses in optical fibers. Bilinear forms and multi-soliton solutions are obtained through the Hirota method and symbolic computation. Breather-like and bound-state solitons are constructed in which the signs of the imaginary parts of the complex wave numbers and the initial separations of the two parallel solitons are important factors for the interaction patterns. The periodic structures and position-induced phase shift of some solutions are introduced. 展开更多

Spinor Bose–Einstein condensates(BECs)are formed when atoms in the multi-component BECs possess single hyperfine spin states but retain internal spin degrees of freedom. This study concentrates on a(1+1)-dimensional three-couple Gross–Pitaevskii system to depict the macroscopic spinor BEC waves within the meanfield approximation.Regarding the distribution of the atoms corresponding to the three vertical spin projections,a known binary Darboux transformation is utilized to derive the𝑁matter-wave soliton solutions and triple-pole matter-wave soliton solutions on the zero background, where𝑁is a positive integer. For those multiple matterwave solitons, the asymptotic analysis is performed to obtain the algebraic expressions of the soliton components in the𝑁matter-wave solitons and triple-pole matter-wave solitons. The asymptotic results indicate that the matter-wave solitons in the spinor BECs possess the property of maintaining their energy content and coherence during the propagation and interactions.Particularly,in the𝑁matter-wave solitons, each soliton component contributes to the phase shifts of the other soliton components;and in the triple-pole matter-wave solitons, stable attractive forces exist between the different matter-wave soliton components. Those multiple matter-wave solitons are graphically illustrated through three-dimensional plots, density plot and contour plot, which are consistent with the asymptotic analysis results. The present analysis may provide the explanations for the complex natural mechanisms of the matter waves in the spinor BECs,and may have potential applications in designs of atom lasers, atom interferometry and coherent atom transport. 展开更多

The stability of Non-Linear Feedback Shift Registers(NFSRs)plays an important role in the cryptographic security.Due to the complexity of nonlinear systems and the lack of efficient algebraic tools, the theorems related to the stability of NFSRs are still not well-developed.In this paper,we view the NFSR with periodic inputs as a Boolean control network.Based on the mathematical tool of semi-tensor product(STP),the Boolean network can be mapped into an algebraic form.Through these basic theories,we analyze the state space of non-autonomous NFSRs,and discuss the stability of an NFSR with periodic inputs of limited length or unlimited length. The simulation results are provided to prove the efficiency of the model.Based on these works,we can provide a method to analyze the stability of the NFSR with periodic input, including limited length and unlimited length.By this,we can efficiently reduce the computational complexity, and its efficiency is demonstrated by applying the theorem in simulations dealing with the stability of a non-autonomous NFSR. 展开更多

This paper is aimed at solving the nonlinear time-fractional partial differential equation with two small parameters arising from option pricing model in financial economics. The traditional reproducing kernel(RK)method which deals with this problem is very troublesome. This paper proposes a new method by adaptive multi-step piecewise interpolation reproducing kernel(AMPIRK)method for the first time. This method has three obvious advantages which are as follows.Firstly, the piecewise number is reduced.Secondly, the calculation accuracy is improved. Finally, the waste time caused by too many fragments is avoided. Then four numerical examples show that this new method has a higher precision and it is a more timesaving numerical method than the others. The research in this paper provides a powerful mathematical tool for solving time-fractional option pricing model which will play an important role in financial economics. 展开更多
