With outstanding advantages in virtuality, immersion, connectivity, and openness, the application of the metaverse in the development of intangible cultural heritage has demonstrated great potential to enhance Gen-Zers’ participation intention, but the effect and its mechanism remain unclear. This study constructs a theoretical model based on the stimuli-organism-response (SOR) theory, the DeLone and McLean model of information system (IS) success (D&M) model, and flow theory, and conducts an empirical study using a structural equation model and regression analysis based on questionnaire survey data in China to uncover whether and how metaverse application exerts its impact. Results show that metaverse application can enhance Gen-Zers’ participation intention in the communication of intangible cultural heritage, and their mechanism follows a chain path of “stimulus-state-response” under the joint action of “technology-individual-environment” in which metaverse application is the key stimulus factor, flow experience is the mediator, and self-efficacy and subjective norm are moderators. The findings can offer new insights for research on metaverse application from the perspectives of consequences and effects and can also provide practical implications for metaverse application as well as the development and communication of intangible cultural heritage. 展开更多

The utilization of a green financial system, particularly through the implementation of green credit, plays a pivotal role in fostering environmentally sustainable,low-carbon economic growth and facilitating the transition toward a more ecologically responsible economy. This paper employs a two-way fixed-effects model, utilizing provincial panel data spanning from 2012 to 2020,to investigate the influence of green credit on regional carbon emissions within different regions of China. The results reveal a significant reduction in carbon emissions as a consequence of the green credit program’s implementation. The analysis of the pathway indicates that green credit is instrumental in mitigating carbon emissions by instigating shifts in the energy mix, with evidence suggesting a partial mediating effect.Furthermore,a heterogeneity analysis discovered that the suppressive impact of green credit on carbon emissions is more pronounced in the eastern and western regions of China, while it is less significant in the central and northeastern areas. The implications of this study provide robust evidence in support of the role of green credit in reducing carbon emissions and can serve as a valuable resource for policymakers aiming to promote the expansion of green credit programs and,in turn, contribute to substantial reductions in carbon emissions. 展开更多

Investment and technology cooperation has become prevalent among manufacturers for reducing carbon emission. However, the success and sustainability of such cooperation can be restrained by firm opportunism. This study investigates the impact of three different cooperation modes(CER investment cooperation, information sharing cooperation, and comprehensive cooperation)on manufacturers’efforts for carbon emission reduction(CER).We also analyze how opportunism in key resources input affects the CER cooperation, and explore the influence of carbon tax and consumer environmental awareness(CEA)on opportunistic motivation. Our results show that 1)Manufacturers engaged in cooperation will increase their profits, but may not necessarily lessen carbon emission, which is related to the intensity of market competition.2)The optimal mode for manufacturers is comprehensive cooperation, followed by information sharing cooperation, and then is CER investment cooperation.3)Opportunism is not necessarily detrimental to CER.4)In the comprehensive cooperation mode, the impact of opportunism to the co-operative manufacturer is hierarchical, and whether the cooperation continues depends on the intensity of market competition.5)CEA will encourage the opportunism, while the effect of carbon tax on opportunistic motivation is related to the market size. 展开更多
