However, little is known about whether the functions of the hip abductor and rear-foot increase dynamic knee valgus. A two-dimensional(2D) video-based screening test focused on hip abductor and rear-foot functions among factors involved in dynamic knee valgus. The present study determined associations between hip and rear-foot dynamic alignment and dynamic knee valgus. Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited 130 female basketball players(258 legs) from nine high-school teams. The players performed single-leg squats and single-leg drop landings to provide knee-in(KID) and hip-out(HOD) distances on 2D video images. Hip and rear-foot dynamic alignment was evaluated using a dynamic Trendelenburg test(DTT) and a dynamic heel-floor test(HFT).Results: The Chi-square test revealed no significant difference in the prevalence of DTT-positivity between single-leg squats(28.7%) and singleleg drop landings(23.3%). The prevalence of HFT-positivity was significantly greater during landings(51.4%) than during single-leg squats(31.0%, p 〈 0.01). The KID values for both single-leg squats and single-leg drop landings were greater in the DTT-positive than in the DTTnegative group(15.1 5.4 cm and 20.2 7.5 cm, p 〈 0.001). The HOD values were similarly greater in the DTT-positive group(15.2 1.9 cm and 17.6 2.8 cm, p 〈 0.001). The KID values for both single-leg squats and single-leg drop landings were greater in the HFT-positive than in the HFT-negative group(12.2 5.1 cm, p 〈 0.01; 14.7 7.2 cm, p 〈 0.001), whereas HOD values for these tasks did not significantly differ between the two groups. Conclusion: Dynamic hip mal-alignment might be associated with both greater KID and HOD, whereas rear-foot eversion is associated only with greater KID. Hip abductor and rear-foot dysfunction are important factors for dynamic knee valgus and thus evaluating DTT and HFT will help to prevent dynamic knee valgus.展开更多

However, the effects of these particles on human health are unevaluated. Depending on particle size and the surface properties, nanoparticles may have the potential to affect human health. In recent studies, several silica nanoparticles (<100 nm) were shown to be penetrating into the brain. Thus, it is important to understand the influence of these nanoparticles on the central nervous system. In this study, we investigated the toxicological influence of nanoparticles on cortical cultured neurons isolated from embryonic day 18 Wister rats. Cortical cultured neurons at 21 days in vitro (DIV) were treated with 30 nm silica nanoparticles for 1 hr. Many neurons were damaged immediately more than at 0.01 mg/ml concentration of silica. Cell damage was also assessed using the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) assay and the reactive oxygen species (ROS) assay. We revealed that the Neuro-toxicological mechanisms were due to membrane permeability. It was suggested that cell membrane permeability was enhanced because of ROS generation. Given these results, it will be important to determine the effect of nano-silica particles in vivo and identify the extent of neuronal damage.展开更多

文摘The exploration of fracture internal fixation materials has been one of the research hotspots in the field of biomedical materials. The traditional internal fixation material for fracture is metal fixation.Although its mechanical strength is very large,it can not be degraded and absorbed in human body after implantation of human body or canine joint, which requires a secondary operation to remove, which not only brings pain to patients, but also causes economic pay.[1]Therefore,the development of a biodegradable fracture internal fixation material has become the goal of many researchers.Polylactic acid(PLA)is nontoxic and harmless, has good biocompatibility and strong mechanical properties. It can be degraded in vivo after implantation. The degradation products are CO2 and H2O.[2]For the study of the feasibility of polylactic acid as a substitute for common fracture fixation materials,18 northern Chinese pastoral dogs were randomly divided into blank group,PLA group and plate group. The data were recorded according to the Wakitani score from the first week to the fifteenth week after operation.First, all the indexes were divided into two categories by principal component analysis[3],then the blank group, steel plate group and PLA group were fitted and compared. Finally,it is concluded that PLA is more beneficial to joint repair than steel plate.
文摘Background: Preventing anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) injuries is very important for athletes, and dynamic knee valgus is considered a risk factor for non-contact ACL injury. Hip abductor and rear-foot dysfunction are important factors for dynamic knee valgus and thus evaluating DTT and HFT will help to prevent dynamic knee valgus.

文摘Purpose:To determine the correlation between socioeconomic status and health selfmanagement in the elderly and to provide a scientific basis for the promotion of healthy ageing. Methods:We recruited 6173 people aged60 years from three regions in Hebei Province using the multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method. The participants were surveyed using questionnaires. Results:The health self-management behaviours of elderly people differed with the area of residence, education level, and personal monthly income. An ordered probit model showed that behaviours were better in elderly people who lived in urban areas, who were educated to college level or higher, and with higher monthly incomes(p<0.05).Conclusion:Socioeconomic status plays a decisive role in health self-management in the elderly. We suggest appropriate measures for promoting health self-management among the elderly.
文摘Nanotechnology is developing rapidly and the production of novel man-made nanoparticles is increasing. Given these results, it will be important to determine the effect of nano-silica particles in vivo and identify the extent of neuronal damage.

文摘Background:Hypoxia is a significant risk factor of hypertension. However,no studies have used transcutaneous tissue partial pressure of oxygen(TcPO_(2))and partial pressure of carbon dioxide(TcPCO_(2))monitors to measure the respective partial pressures in healthy individuals.Oxygen saturation(SpO_(2))is often used for traditional monitoring of vital signs. This study investigated the changes in TcPO_(2)and SpO_(2)values during rapid changes in altitude. The trial was registered at ClinicalTrials.gov(registration no.NCT06076057).Methods:Healthy adult volunteers were instructed to sit vertically in a hypobaric oxygen chamber, which ascended from 0 m to 2500 m at a uniform speed within 10 min.The Danish Radiometer TCM4 was used to measure TcPO_(2)and TcPCO_(2)with the ventral side of the upper arm as the measurement site. The Shenzhen Kerokan P0D-1 W pulse oximeter was used to measure heart rate and SpO_(2),with values recorded once every 500 m.Results:Altogether,49 healthy volunteers were recruited between March 2023 and August 2023.With increasing altitude,TcPO_(2)and SpO_(2)decreased significantly(P<0.01).During the ascent from 0 m,TcPO_(2)began to change statistically at 500 m(P<0.05),whereas SpO_(2)began to change statistically at 1000 m(P<0.05).At the same altitude, the difference in TcPO_(2)was greater than the difference in SpO_(2).At 1000 m,there were statistically significant changes in TcPO_(2)and SpO_(2)(P<0.001).At altitudes>500 m,statistical significance was identified between TcPO_(2)in both sexes(P<0.05).Statistical significance in TcPCO_(2)and heart rate was observed at the different elevations(P<0.05).Conclusion:In acutely changing low-pressure hypoxic environments,TcPO_(2)changed more dramatically than SpO_(2).

文摘Most elderly individuals experience cognitive decline with increasing age[1],some even suffer from pathological cognitive aging, such as dementia;however, there are exceptional elderly individuals who maintain superior cognitive performance, and they are referred to as those who have experienced successful cognitive aging(SCA)[2].The majority of research has been on pathological cognitive aging and its neural mechanisms, and much less is known about SCA[3].How is SCA characterized neuroanatomically?Specifically, whether SCA individuals’better cognitive maintenance is related to lessening pathological damage to the brain or to the higher preservation of specific brain characteristics that are not related to pathology? The neural mechanisms causing this wide array of individual cognitive differences in aging are largely unknown.
