The antenna is dual band at 2.45 GHz (ISM band) with omnidirectional radiation pattern over the body surface to communicate power efficiently with other co-located body worn devices and at 1.9 GHz (PCS band), it has directive radiation pattern towards off the body to communicate from on-body device to off-body devices. The free space and on-body performances of the antenna are investigated by both simulation and experiment. The antenna shows very good on-body radiation efficiency of 58% at 2.45 GHz and 61% at 1.9 GHz. Good on-body gain is noticed at both frequency bands. Results show that the gain of the proposed antenna increases by 4.7% at 2.45 GHz and 3.2% at 1.9 GHz when placed on the body.展开更多

Measurement campaigns were first done in the chamber and then repeated in an indoor environment for comparison. The path loss parameter for eight different on-body radio channels has been characterized and analyzed. In addition, the path loss was modeled as a function of distance for 34 different receiver locations for propagation along the front part of the body. Results and analysis show that, compared with anechoic chamber, a reduction of 16.34% path loss exponent is noticed in indoor environment. The antenna shows very good on-body radio channel performance and will be a suitable candidate for future efficient and reliable body-centric wireless communications.展开更多

For a large scale outdoor culture the irradiance of sunlight and associated temperature is also need to consider. In this study aims to present computational model of microalgae growth taking effect of solar irradiance and corresponding temperature in a tubular photo bioreactor for an outdoor culture system. We consider the transient behavior of temperature inside the photo bioreactor for a microalgae culture. The optimum range of temperature for outdoor cultivation of microalgae is about 22℃ - 27℃ and out of this range the microalgae cell growth inhibits. Many correlations have already been established to investigate the algal productivity based on the dynamic conditions of temperature in case of full scale outdoor cultivation. However, none of them are validated yet numerically considering the model as a function of weather conditions, operational behavior and design criteria. A tubular photobioreactor (PBR) with length 20.5 m and radius 0.05 m has taken account as a simulation model. The PBR is horizontally placed as temperature variations can be observed with greater accuracy. As the solar irradiance varies at any geographic latitude for a year and so thus temperature, equations and parameters are established relating the irradiance with the temperature to simulate the effect. We observed some significant effects of temperature on the growth of microalgae. Moreover, for the maximum growth of the cells we should control the surrounding temperature.展开更多

This paper provides a comprehensive understanding about BPL with its implementation prospects. In this context, the existing power grid infrastructures are discussed elaborately. BPL system functionality with its components and its benefits over other access technologies is also pointed out. Implementation scenarios for various deployment options are illustrated here. The different implementation challenges for BPL system, such as the characteristics of power lines, attenuation problem, noise, potential interference with the other radio frequencies are also presented with their remedies. Comparative analysis between several broadband access technologies shows the feasibility of BPL deployments all over the world.展开更多

A heart rate receives from heart beat signals and stores the data to a database and after a time period this method can determine an idle heart rate of the monitoring body. This idle heart rate is compared with the stored data and can determine the normal and abnormal heart rate variability. After the certain time period this system can detect the heart rate and also can send a signal to the user in time of abnormalities. Consequent estimations of heart rate variability are contrasted with this.展开更多
