文摘Into the outer region of turbulent boundary layers artificial single-frequency sinusoidaldisturbances were introduced, which affected bursting periods of the inner layer signifi-cantly. Because of the upstream outer region disturbances, in the inner layer large-scale low-frequency fluctuations were broken up, relatively small-scale high-frequency fluctuations wereinduced, and the total fluctuating energy of the inner layer increased while the integrallength scale decreased.
