This conference was sponsored by Chinese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surger...The Fourth Chinese National Conference on Oral and Maxillofacial Oncology was held on October 15-16, 2005 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This conference was sponsored by Chinese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and well organized by Sichuan University College of Stomatology. A total of 274 papers were accepted for presentation (48 were for oral presentation), which involved various respects on oral and Maxillofacial neoplasm, salivary gland diseases and vascular anomalies, and reflected the latest progress in both basic scientific research and clinical management of patients with oral and maxillofacial tumors (including vascular anomalies) as well as salivary gland diseases. The most interest topics included the primary study of expression of COX-2 and its mechanisms in oral squamous cell carcinoma, identification and validation of biomarker related to head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, application and short term effect of 125I seed implantation brachytherapy for treating malignant tumors with mandibular invasion, treatment of giant unicystic ameloblastoma of the mandible by suction drainage followed by curettage, the effectiveness of elective neck dissection on prognosis in T1,2N0M0 patients with carcinoma of oral cavity: a Meta-analysis, establishment of a conditional MT transgenic mice model, salivary gland tumors in transgenic mice with targeted PLAG1 proto-oncogene overexpression, study of the prognostic factors of oral squamous cell carcinoma, diagnosis and treatment of infant hemangiomas, a clinical study of the implant-retained craniofacial prostheses, simultaneous functional reconstruction of mandible with fibula flap and dental implant - distracter (DID), individualized functional reconstruction of large maxillary defects, etc. E-mail: huacg@163.com.展开更多
