This paper focuses on the use of “go” in Laibin, and firstly analyzes the grammatical function of “go” in Laibin from the perspective of language comparison, and then discovering the characteristics of the construct “XX’s go”, which is a very strong subjective evaluative construction, and is often used by local people to evaluate and pass on a certain thing. By tracing similar usage in the Zhuang language, it was found that this usage, originated from a copy of the Zhuang word “XXȵi²² pei²⁴”.Through this study, it is hoped to arouse scholars’ attention to the problem of sub-dialectal differences and language contact in Guangxi dialects, so as to promote the development of dialectal studies and give convenience to language communication while preserving the vitality of the dialects.展开更多
