The investigation found that the core literacy of the subject is difficult to cultivate and students’ self-learning ability is weak in the current biology teaching classroom in high school. Based on SWOT model, the advantages and disadvantages of biology teaching in high school under the background of new media as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by the development are analyzed, and the teaching implementation strategies are proposed from four aspects: SO strategy, WO strategy, ST strategy and WT strategy.
