The results show that the LHRH contents in the hypothalamus, LHRH, LH, and FSH in pituitary of aged rats and serum T contents in the aged male rats were significantly lower than those in 4-month-old rats. The serum E2 levels in the aged female rats were higher when compared with young rats. Acupuncture and moxibustion increased the hormone secretion of agde rats, suggesting that acupuncture and moxibustion could enhance the functions of HPG axis in the aged rats.展开更多
