Samuelsson reported the structure and strong biological activities of Thromboxane A<sub>2</sub>(TXA<sub>2</sub>) for platelet aggregation, vasoconstriction and contraction of smooth muscle in 1975. The nucleus of 2, 6-dioxabicyclo [3,1,1] heptane has been considered to play an important role in the strong bioactiv ities of TXA<sub>2</sub>.
