The subjects consist of 118 students in the experiment...This paper reviews a one-semester experiment on integrating CALL in teaching intensive reading to first-year graduate students at Beijing Institute of Technology. The subjects consist of 118 students in the experimental group and 119 in the control group. The results reveal that compared with a teacher- dominated approach with the control group, the web-based English instruction method with the experiment group has done a better job in enhancing students' productive skills, satisfying their individual needs, motivating their autonomous learning and arousing their interest in learning English.展开更多
