Two carbonatite dykes separetely located on Dulahala Mountain and within Erdaowa Group strata in Bayan Ebo mineral deposit have been studied.For Dulahala carbonatite the content of RE2O3 is 23.9 wt%,higher than that i...Two carbonatite dykes separetely located on Dulahala Mountain and within Erdaowa Group strata in Bayan Ebo mineral deposit have been studied.For Dulahala carbonatite the content of RE2O3 is 23.9 wt%,higher than that in the rare earth ores of both Main Ore-body and Eastern Ore-body,the distribution patterns of rare earth elements and rare earth mineral assemblage are consistent with those in both Ore-bodies.The evidence indicates a material source for RE in Bayan Ebo deposit.Fenite occurring at the edge of the carbonatite in Erdaowa Group yields an isochron age of 343.26±7.33 Ma by Rb-Sr method.It implies the geological time of mineralization.展开更多

All the εNd...Dated isotopic ages for 15 alkaline intrusives in the Yanliao-Yinshan area, ranging from 268 to 190 Ma, ten of which are from 250 to 208 Ma, indicate that most of them were formed in the Triassic Epoch. All the εNd(t) ratios from - 17.19 to -3.21 averaging -7.09, the εSr(t) ratios from 11.7 to 71.5 averaging 36.63, and the ISr(t) ratios from 0.705 0 to 0.709 3 averaging 0.706 8, show their characteristics of enrichment. On the εNd (t) virus εSr (t) correlation diagram, the samples from these intrusives were plotted within the enriched mantle trend lines and just outside, demonstrating their close connection to materials from the enriched mantle reservoir, taking into account the same Pb isotopic composition as that of the mantle.展开更多

The isotope compositions of the carbonatesthere are thus considered as having reflected those of simultaneous sea waters in view of its goodconnection with the open seas. The carbon and strontium isotope compositions of the Ordoviciancarbonates in the Tazhong area are analyzed, and their relationships to the sea-level fluctuationsare discussed as well. Studies have revealed that the carbon isotope composition is related posi-tively with the sea-level fluctuations, whereas an opposing situation occurs to the strontium isotopevariation. Similar responses of carbon and strontium isotope compositions to the sea-level fluctua-tions are reported elsewhere in the world, suggesting that the Ordovician sea-level fluctuations ofthe Tarim Basin were of eustatic implication.展开更多
