They were widely applied in the big diameter drilling compresol pile construction in North China. But the application of the rotary drilling machines is limited in South China, especially the southeast area, because of the soft soil and the big scale of pile. On the other hand, impact hammers have been widely used in drilling pile construction in mollisol area. Recently, rotary drilling machines and impact hammer are working together in several projects in mollisol area to prove its feasibility. This article introduces the construction instance using rotary drilling machines together with impact hammer in the drilling compresol pile construction of Wushashan Power Plant in Datang town of Zhejiang Province. Besides, the advantages and the feasibility were listed.展开更多
