The authors analyzed the research report and concluded the conclusions as follows: ①it was indicated according to the data that acupuncture was effective in treatment of chronic knee joint pain at the time of treatment for 12 weeks, but the efficacy fell back after the and of treatment for one year, indicating that acupuncture was not really ineffective; ② false laser treatment was also effective in treatment, which indicated that false laser treatment was not suitable to be taken as negative control; ③the falling back of efficacy after the and of treatment for one year was not ineffectiveness but relapse, indicating that knee joint pain in elderly people was easy to relapse. Therefore, the conclusion in the report that acupuncture was ineffective in treatment of knee joint pain in elderly people was not accurate.展开更多
