In the silicotic rats,with ionselective electrodes, it is found that the concentration of free Ca<sup>2+</sup> in their lungs increased signficantly. Along with this. by means of Tb<sup>3+</sup>-fluorescent probe, <sup>45</sup>Ca<sup>2+</sup>-tracer, ICP,Raman and NMR spectra, the process of increase and the function of Ca<sup>2+</sup> in the lungs of silicotic rats are discussed and the difference between α-quartz and amorphous silica in the ability to cause silicosis is demonstrated.展开更多
