This paper begins with a brief review of learning strategy studies, and then intends to relate Chinese ESL learners' learning strategies to social and cultural beliefs and values in China. The paper finally concludes that we should choose language learning strategies that are appropriate for us rather than those that are proved to be successful in other cultures.展开更多
