Although Western medicine treatment mainly relies on medication, traditional Chinese medicine demonstrates unique therapeutic advantages through the concept of holistic regulation, combined with interventions in medication, diet, emotions, and behavior. Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the core pathogenesis of GERD lies in the “loss of balance and descent of the stomach, and the reversal of stomach qi”. This theory profoundly reveals the underlying cause of GERD symptoms, which is the dysfunction of the stomach’s flow and descent function, leading to the reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus and causing a series of discomfort symptoms. Banxia Xiexin Tang can effectively alleviate symptoms such as acid reflux and heartburn by targeting the pathogenesis, while adjusting the overall state of the patient and reducing the recurrence of the disease. Further exploration of the mechanism and pharmacological effects of Banxia Xiexin Tang in treating GERD will help us better understand the scientific principles behind its therapeutic efficacy. Meanwhile, modern pharmacological research has also revealed the mechanism of action of this formula in regulating gastrointestinal motility, inhibiting gastric acid secretion, and protecting gastric mucosa, providing scientific basis for the treatment of GERD with traditional Chinese medicine. The purpose of this article is to provide clinical doctors with deeper research ideas and references, and to promote the widespread application and in-depth research of Banxia Xiexin Tang in the treatment of GERD.展开更多

As one of the classical therapeutic methods in TCM, the blood-activating and stasis-eliminating method effectively alleviates hepatic microcirculatory disturbances and reduces the degree of liver fibrosis by promoting blood circulation and dissipating blood stasis accumulation, thereby demonstrating unique therapeutic benefits. This paper analyzes and summarizes the literature and clinical data on the application rationale, internal and external therapeutic techniques of TCM for treating liver cirrhosis with the blood-activating and stasis-eliminating method. The aim is to provide supplementary information and references for clinical diagnosis, treatment, and comprehensive management of liver cirrhosis.展开更多
