In recent years, the famous Chinese traditional medicine ginseng (root of the plant Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) and other parts of the plant such as rhizomes, leaves and flower buds have been chemically studied. This report deals with the study on ginseng fruits. Eight kinds of saponins have been isolated from ginseng fruits, three of them, GF-Ⅰ, GF-Ⅳ and GF-Ⅴ are elucidated to be identical with ginsenosidesRbl, Rd and Re, respectively. 展开更多
