The differential diagnosis between this disease and leiomyoma of the oesophagus is discussed. In any adult patient, especially young females with dysphagia and filling defects along the middle third of the oesophagus, the possibility of tuberculous mediastinal lymphadenitis should be considered in the differential diagnosis. The material here presented is based upon conventional radiologic methods which are also available in the developing countries.展开更多
