This study focuses on 764 discourse expressions of the depression group in Weibo Hypertext, and explores the legitimization discourse strategies adopted by depression patients from an interactive perspective through a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Research has found that the discourse of patients with depression has the characteristics of valuing family relationships, emphasizing symptom description, and strongly expressing emotions. Patients use various discourse strategies to self legitimize, including emotional confession, symptom description, experience sharing, etc., to gain recognition and support from others. This reveals how patients influence others’ views and attitudes through discourse strategies, further promoting social acceptance and legitimization of the patient group. Research can help enhance public understanding of depression, reduce discrimination and bias against individuals with depression, and provide more precise psychological support for patients with depression.展开更多
