On August 26, 2009, some children from the Ankang (Good Health) Home in Shuangliu County, in Southwest China's Sichuan Province, chanted the poem I Love You, My Motherland. With support from some work units, organizations and warmhearted people from across the country, Ankang Home was established last year. The home is the largest resettlement center for children orphaned by the magnitude-8 earthquake that ravaged much of Sichuan on May 12, 2008. Now, 677 orphans, from the worst-hit cities and towns in Sichuan, live and study in the 38,500-squaremeter center. To mark the second anniversary of the deadly tremor, reporters from Women of China recently visited Ankang Home to interview some of the children, and their foster "mothers," and see firsthand how they are doing in their new home.展开更多
