The r...The buffer capacity of lakewaters and streamwaters in Southwesten China. where serious acidic precipitation has been found, and the changes of buffer capacity during the acidification were examined and analyzed. The results show that the valuation of sensitivity to acidification of lakeweters and streamwaters often disagree with the actual circumstance only by the value of buffer capacity. “Acidification capacity”is firstly proposed to assess the sensitivity to acidification in this paper. Compared with other methods, this methods, this method not only can assess the sensitivity to acidification more effectively, but also can predict the time quantitatively when the acidificafion occures in lakewaters or streamwaters due to its consideration for the quantity of various components and their interrelation and interaction as far as possible.展开更多
