The effects of catalyst type, (catalyst) (amount) and reaction time on the yield of 2,4′-HPSP were investigated. Under the optimum conditions, the content of 2,4′-HPSP was 37.52% in the product and the total yield was 95.9%(based on H2SO4). The crude product was purified successively with 2%methanol in o-dichlorobenzene and 30%methanol in water. The purity of the final (2,4′-)HPSP was 95.52%, and the total yield was 26.4%. The solvents used in the (purification) process could be recycled.展开更多
