The synergetic kinetics of phenol degradation in water by using microwave/H2O2(MW/H2O2)system was studied.It was found that phenol degradation followed pseudo-first order reaction and was significantly enhanced and th...The synergetic kinetics of phenol degradation in water by using microwave/H2O2(MW/H2O2)system was studied.It was found that phenol degradation followed pseudo-first order reaction and was significantly enhanced and the rate constant enhancement was about 5.98 in the combined MW/H2O2 system.This fact indicated that there existed synergetic effects in the MW/H2O2 process.A simplified mechanistic model for phenol degradation was proposed to account for the combined contribution of MW radiation,H2O2 oxidation and hydroxyl radical,and was well suitable for the phenol degradation in the presence of superfluous H2O2.展开更多
