Most of the more...The Longyabeidong site lies at the confluence of the Shimen and Luohe rivers in Luonan county, Shaanxi province, and is an intact stone workshop of the early Paleolithic Age excavated in recent years. Most of the more than 2,000 unearthed stone artifacts are various flakes produced with hand hammer percussion. Of the stone tools trimmed by secondary working, the great majority is formed by flake implements, and the large-sized tools constitute the main body while the small ones are rarer.The principal types are the back blade and scraper, and the point, graver, chopping tool, hammer and anvil also occur on the site. The discovery provides important material for studying the problems related to the culture of the early Paleolithic Age in China.展开更多
