Because comets often are very faint, the observations of them are quite difficult; and in addition, the data on them are scanty. Moreover, no monochromatic photometry has been made on Halley’s comet. On November 6—10,1985, observations of Halley’s comet were made at the Yunnan Observatory, Academia Sinica by using the 1-m (f/13.3) telescope and the CCD (Charge Couple Device) as well as the cometary filters. CCD is a new type of detector. It has a higher quantum efficiency and a wider range of linear response than the photographic plate does.展开更多
