＇LEGEND OF MOTHER＇S LOVE＇ Story of Last Porter in Mountains Moves Numerous Chinese

Deep in Qiyun Mountain （in East China＇s Anhui Province）, which is one of China＇s four great Taoist mountains, Wang Meihong climbs more than 4,000 stairs every day. Despite her fine, delicate features, Wang is the only local woman porter who earns a living doing manual labor traditionally performed by men. During the past 17 years, she has endured tremendous hardships as she has struggled, on her own, to raise three children. Many Chinese refer to her story as the ＂legend of a mother＇s love.＂
