Using 3.7 MBq of Na125I, 200μl of cephalexin as substrate, 200 μl of iodogen as oxidizing agent in acetone at 40°C for 20 min, a maximum radiochemical yield of 125I-Ceph (95%) was obtained. The labeled compound was separated and purified by means of high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC).
