Systematic evaluation of Kang-ai injection combined with chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone in the treatment of ovarian cancer

Objective:This study was conducted to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Kang-ai injection combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of ovarian cancer.Methods:the databases of VIP,CNKI,WanFang,CBM,Pub Med,Cochrane Library and EMBASE were searched to collect the randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of Kang-ai injection,combined with chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone for the treatment of ovarian cancer.The retrieval time was from the database setup to December 20,2018.After two researchers independently screened the researches,extracted data and evaluated the risk of the included studies,the RevMan 5.3 software was used for analysis.A total of 8 RCTS were included.Results:Results showed that patients in Kang-ai injection combined with chemotherapy group were superior to the conventional chemotherapy group patients in total effective rate[RR=1.31,95%CI(1.11,1.54),P=0.001],quality of life[RR=1.69,95%CI(1.35,2.13),P<0.001],leukopenia[RR=0.63,95%CI(0.51,0.77),P<0.001],nausea and vomiting[RR=0.41,95%CI(0.24,0.70),P=0.001],decreased hemoglobin[RR=0.50,95%CI(0.28,0.88),P=0.002],and thrombocytopenia[RR=0.45,95%CI(0.24,0.85),P=0.01].Conclusion:Kang-ai injection combined with chemotherapy for ovarian cancer is better than chemotherapy alone in improving total effective rate and quality of life,reducing the incidence of adverse reactions.Limited by the number and quality of included studies,the above conclusions are yet to be verified by more high-quality studies. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the clinical medication rule of seborrheic dermatitis in modern Chinese medicine by data mining,in order to benefit the clinical treatment of seborrheic dermatitis in traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:From January 1,2010 to September 4,2019,articles on Chinese medicine for seborrheic dermatitis were searched systematically in CNKI,VIP and Wan Fang databases.Prescription databases were established through the Chinese Medicine Inheritance assistant system to mine and analyze the rules of data.Results:69 researches were screened out,72 prescriptions for seborrheic dermatitis.13 drugs were used more than or equal to 15 times,and 9 pairs of commonly used drugs with correlation coefficient above 0.045 were selected.Six core combinations and two new prescriptions were obtained.Conclusion:Data mining method was used to analyze the high-frequency drugs and drug pairs,which reflected the treatment principle of clearing heat and removing dampness,nourishing blood and moistening dryness,promoting qi and strengthening spleen in the clinical treatment of seborrheic dermatitis,and provided more intuitive research evidence for the follow-up clinical treatment. 展开更多

Meta-analysis of the effect of continuing nursing on the psychological status of rectal cancer patients undergoing stoma

Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of continuous nursing on the psychological status of rectal cancer patients undergoing stoma.Methods:Five databases including China HowNet,Chongqing Weipu Chinese Science and Technology Database,Wanfang Database,Embase and PubMed were searched.Randomized controlled trials were collected on the effect of continuing nursing on the psychological status of rectal cancer patients undergoing stoma.The searching time was from the establishment of the database to March 30,2019.RevMan 5.3 software was used to analyze the bias risk of the study after two researchers independently screened the researchers,extracted the data and evaluated the bias risk of the study.Results:A total of 15 studies were included.Meta-analysis showed that the continuing nursing group improved anxiety[MD=-10.89,95%CI(-13.52,-8.26),P<0.00001],depression[MD=-4.78,95%CI(-5.77,-3.80,P<0.00001],fear[MD=-6.06,95%CI(-7.70,-4.43),P<0.00001],hostile[MD=-7.00,95%CI(-13.62,-0.38),P=0.04<0.05],somatization[MD=-7.63,95%CI(-13.49,-1.77),P=0.01<0.05].The self-care ability[MD=38.24,95%CI(35.38,41.11),P<0.00001]was superior to the routine nursing group.Conclusion:Continuous nursing has more advantages than routine nursing,and it can improve the negative psychological state of rectal cancer patients undergoing stoma.Due to the limitations of the quantity and quality of the included studies,the above conclusions need to be verified by more high-quality studies. 展开更多

Self-healing poly(urea-urethane)s (PUUs) showing a tolerance to mechanical damage are particularly desirable for high-performance elastomeric biomaterials. In this study a kind of biodegradable PUUs was synthesized from poly(ε-caprolactone) diol with L-lysine ethyl ester diisocyanate (LDI) extended with L-lysine ethyl ester dihydrochloride (LEED) in DMF and characterized by using 1 H-NMR, FTIR, DSC, XRD, SEM and tensile tests. Interestingly, they exhibited a self-healing characteristic upon exposure to 37℃for as short as 30 min with the tensile strength keeping at 4.23 MPa and the elongation at break reaching to 627%. It is revealed that increasing the hard segment content in PUUs benefits the self-healing performance, and on the opposite increasing the soft segment content contributes to the biodegradability. 展开更多

The cationic folic acid(CFA) was prepared by introducing triethylenetetramine into folic acid with EDCI/NHS and characterized by IR, NMR and mass spectra. It was found that approximately one of two carboxyls in the folic acid molecule was substituted to form CFA. The conversion of γ-carboxyl is found to be 59% higher than 30% of γ-carboxyl. The CFA and doxorubicin hydrochloride can be loaded on the ionic shell of PTX-encapsulated micelle to form CFA loaded binary drug carrier via static interaction in aqueous solutions. The successful loading was demonstrated by zeta potential measurement and the drug load amount(DLA) of CFA was measured by HPLC. In vitro cytotoxicity results revealed the CFA drug carrier showed higher cytotoxicity to cancer cell MDA-MB-321 than the binary drug carrier without CFA and the positive control, while it showed lower cytotoxicity to normal cell HUVEC than the positive control, and similar cytotoxicity with the binary drug carrier without CFA. These results as well as confocal laser scanning microscopy observation indicate the synthesized CFA drug carrier possesses active tumor-targeting property. 展开更多

The methylated polyrotaxane(Me PR) copolymer was prepared via the methylation of hydroxyl of threaded α-cyclodextrin(α-CDs) in polyrotaxane(PR) copolymer by CH_3I/Na H. Its structure was characterized by GPC, IR and NMR. The WXRD and TGA measurements showed the destruction of channel-like crystalline structure in Me PR copolymer. The sliding of threaded α-CDs along PEG axis in PR and Me PR copolymers was demonstrated by their dielectric spectra that also evidenced the presence of rotating of threaded α-CDs around PEG axis in Me PR copolymer. The frequent and vigorous molecular mobility in Me PR and PR copolymers was also verified by dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA) and rheological measurement, which was possibly assigned to the sliding and rotating of threaded α-CDs. DMA and rheological results showed that the mobility of α-CDs could simultaneously strengthen and toughen PR copolymer proved by stress-stain curves. In this paper, we report the CD mobility in PR and Me PR copolymers. The macroscopic behaviors of PR copolymer, such as mechanical properties in solid state, were also found to be benefited from CD mobility. 展开更多
