The technique has been mainly used for mastoid surgery but it may also be used to address other causes of meatal stenosis. It involves removing most of the cartilage in the conchal bowl and soft tissue in the external auditory meatus. Cartilage from the helical root may also be sacrificed as part of this procedure. Our technique produces an excellent cosmetic result and an adequate meatoplasty which is easy to monitor in the outpatient setting.展开更多
