Significant differences among clones (p〈0.001) were observed for diameter at breast height (DBH), tree height, volume, crown width and number of branches under both the site conditions. Clones ‘G-3’, ‘25-N’ and ‘41-N’ at Ludhiana and ‘G-3’, ‘RD-01’ and ‘S7C8’ at Bathinda were found to be superior for volume production. All growth and crown traits registered significantly higher values at Ludhiana in comparison to those at Bathinda. Clone site interaction was also significant (p〈0.001). For volume, clones ‘L-62/84’, ‘113520’, ‘25-N’ and ‘S4C2’ witnessed huge fluctuations in ranking between sites. The correlations between growth traits were positive and highly significant (p〈0.001) at both sites. The clonal mean heritability was moderate for DBH and volume both at Ludhiana (0.61–0.66) and Bathinda (0.61–0.62). Across sites, the genetic advance was the highest for volume (49.76%) and the lowest (6.50%) in case of height.展开更多

Clone L-48/89 recorded significantly superior volume than the control (G-48) at all ages, with superiority of 51.4, 43.9 and 48.5 per cent at age five, six and eight years, respectively. The phenotypic and genotypic coefficients of variation were the highest for volume (26.55-34.66% and 15.84-26.00%) and the minimum for tree height (8.43-12.13% and 4.71-7.59%). The broad sense heritability was relatively higher for DBH (0.42-0.55) and genetic advance as per cent of mean was highest for volume (19.48-40.18). All genetic parameters increased with age. Cloud computing is an emerging paradigm with many applications that are integrated with IT organization having the freedom to migrate services between different physical servers. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with ...Cloud computing is an emerging paradigm with many applications that are integrated with IT organization having the freedom to migrate services between different physical servers. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with a pairwise comparison matrix technique for applications has been used for serving resources. AHP is a mathematical technique for multi-criteria decision-making used in cloud computing. The growth in cloud computing for resource allocation is sudden and raises complex issues with quality of services for selecting applications. Finally, based on the selected criteria, applications are ranked using the pairwise comparison matrix of AHP to determine the most effective scheme. The presented AHP technique represents a well-balanced multi criteria priorities synthesis of various applications effect factors that must be taken into consideration when making complex decisions of this nature. Keeping in view wide range of applications of cloud computing an attempt has been made to develop multiple criteria decision making model.展开更多

Chitooligosaccharides(COS)from squid pen produced using amylase,lipase and pepsin were characterized.COS produced by 8%(w/w)lipase(COS-L)showed the maximum FRAP and ABTS radical scavenging activity than those prepared...Chitooligosaccharides(COS)from squid pen produced using amylase,lipase and pepsin were characterized.COS produced by 8%(w/w)lipase(COS-L)showed the maximum FRAP and ABTS radical scavenging activity than those prepared using other two enzymes.COS-L had the average molecular weight(MW)of 79 kDa,intrinsic viscosity of 0.41 dL/g and water solubility of 49%.DPPH,ABTS radical scavenging activities,FRAP and ORAC of COS-L were 5.68,322.68,5.66 and 42.20μmol TE/g sample,respectively.Metal chelating activity was 2.58μmol EE/g sample.For antibacterial activity,minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)and minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC)of COS-L against the targeted bacteria were in the range of 0.31–4.91 mg/mL and 0.62–4.91 mg/mL,respectively.Sardine surimi gel added with 1%(w/w)COS-L showed the lower PV,TBARS and microbial growth during 10 days of storage at 4°C.COS-L from squid pen could inhibit lipid oxidation and extend the shelf-life of refrigerated sardine surimi gel.展开更多
