The oxidized LDL (50-300 μg/ml) induced the disc-sphere transformation of platelets, the formation of pseudopodia, centralization of granules and degranulation. Platelet plasma membrane was damaged by oxidized LDL leading to a lower electron density of he cytoplasm compared to controls.
