Starting from the perspective of the student users’ knowledge needs in Chinese universities,based on questionnaire survey data,combining conventional statistics and formal concept analysis method,a comprehensive anal...Starting from the perspective of the student users’ knowledge needs in Chinese universities,based on questionnaire survey data,combining conventional statistics and formal concept analysis method,a comprehensive analysis of knowledge needs of university students about open access is executed.The results show that the retrieval efficiency of open access is the core focus of the common concern of university student users;a few university students still prefer the traditional methods during the process of obtaining knowledge;the awareness of economic cost is not obvious among the university student users;the academic level and research level are primary causes of the differences in knowledge needs in university student users.By disclosing characters of knowledge needs of university student users about open access,the paper provides reference for theoretical study and practical application of open access in Chinese universities with the view of users’ knowledge needs.展开更多
