Apricot has a long history of cultivation and has many varieties and types. The traditional variety identification methods are timeconsuming and labor-consuming, posing grand challenges to apricot resource management.... Apricot has a long history of cultivation and has many varieties and types. The traditional variety identification methods are timeconsuming and labor-consuming, posing grand challenges to apricot resource management. Tool development in this regard will help researchers quickly identify variety information. This study photographed apricot fruits outdoors and indoors and constructed a dataset that can precisely classify the fruits using a U-net model (F-score:99%), which helps to obtain the fruit's size, shape, and color features. Meanwhile, a variety search engine was constructed, which can search and identify variety from the database according to the above features. Besides, a mobile and web application (ApricotView) was developed, and the construction mode can be also applied to other varieties of fruit trees.Additionally, we have collected four difficult-to-identify seed datasets and used the VGG16 model for training, with an accuracy of 97%, which provided an important basis for ApricotView. To address the difficulties in data collection bottlenecking apricot phenomics research, we developed the first apricot database platform of its kind (ApricotDIAP, http://apricotdiap.com/) to accumulate, manage, and publicize scientific data of apricot. 展开更多

对映选择性催化是生物体内普遍存在的反应,与生命的产生代谢有着非常紧密的联系。设计研发具有高对映选择性催化效果的纳米酶在各类生物医药相关领域都至关重要。目前,关于纳米酶的研究大都集中在提高其催化活性,而涉及纳米酶对映选择... 对映选择性催化是生物体内普遍存在的反应,与生命的产生代谢有着非常紧密的联系。设计研发具有高对映选择性催化效果的纳米酶在各类生物医药相关领域都至关重要。目前,关于纳米酶的研究大都集中在提高其催化活性,而涉及纳米酶对映选择性的研究相对较少。已有对映选择性酶催化报道表明,手性纳米酶主要通过手性分子修饰纳米颗粒来构建。考虑到天然酶的选择性不仅仅取决于氨基酸等手性分子的手性,而且与蛋白质空间排列和折叠所产生的超分子手性微环境密切相关,因此构建具有超分子手性微环境的纳米酶也成为设计具有优异对映选择性纳米酶的有效途径。此外,为了进一步提高手性纳米酶的对映选择性,深入理解手性纳米酶选择性因子的影响因素也成为一个重要研究方向。基于此,本文构建了一种由不含任何手性分子的M-聚苯胺(M-PANI)扭曲纳米带和三种不同尺寸(3、10和16nm)的金纳米颗粒(AuNPs)组成的超分子纳米复合材料。扫描电子显微镜、透射电子显微镜、紫外-可见吸收光谱和X射线光电子能谱结果证实了M-PANI-Au超分子纳米复合材料的成功制备。同时,圆二色光谱显示M-PANI-Au超分子复合材料具有清晰的手性信号,表明它们在手性纳米催化方面具有潜在应用。以手性R-/S-3,4-二羟基苯丙氨酸(R-/S-DOPA)对映体的催化氧化为模型反应,该类纳米酶对R-DOPA的催化选择性均高于对S-DOPA。进一步研究表明,得益于超分子手性聚苯胺载体和3 nm AuNPs之间的强手性传递作用,3 nm AuNPs(2.59)负载的M-PANI比10 nm AuNPs(1.46)和16 nm NPs(1.58)负载的M-PANI具有更高的选择因子。这一发现阐明了手性转移是调控对映选择性催化的关键影响因素,为负载型超分子手性纳米酶的构建和设计提供了方向和指导。 展开更多

Ni-rich layered oxides are considered promising cathodes for advanced lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)in the future,owing to their high capacity and low cost.However,the issues on structural and interfacial stability of Ni-rich cathodes still pose substantial obstacles in the practical application of advanced LIBs.Here,we employ a one-step method to synthesize a B-doped and La_(4)NiLiO_(8)-coated LiNi_(0.82)5Co_(0.115)Mn_(0.06)O_(2)(BL-1)cathode with reliable structure and interface,for the first time.The La_(4)NiLiO_(8)coating layer can prevent cathodes from electrolyte assault and facilitate Li+diffusion kinetics.Moreover,B-doping can effectively restrain the pernicious H_(2)-H_(3) phase transition and adjust the orientation of primary particles to a radial alignment,which is obstructive to the arise of microcracks induced by the change of anisotropic volume.Specifically,when tested in pouch cells,the BL-1 cathode exhibits outstanding capacity retention of 93.49%after 500 cycles at 1 C.This dual-modification strategy dramatically enhances the stability of the structure and interface for Ni-rich cathode materials,consequently accelerating the commercialization process of high-energy–density LIBs. 展开更多

Objective To summarize the clinical features and outcomes of unsuspected gallbladder carcinoma (HGC) detected during or after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods Medical records of 8005 patients, who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Peking Hnion Medical College Hospital between June 1993 and June 2011, were reviewed. Patients that pathologically diagnosed as HGC were retrospectively studied in terms of clinical features, preoperative and postoperative diagnosis, surviving period, and complications. Results In the 8005 patients who received laparoscopic cholecystectomy, 36 (0.45%) were diagnosed as LIGC during (25 patients) or after (11 patients) laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The gallbladder cancer was staged as T1 in 16 patients, T2 in 11 patients, and T3 in 9 patients. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates of all the patients were 88.9% (32/36), 63.9% (23/36), and 58.3% (21/36). The 5-year survival rates in T1 stage, T2 stage, and T3 stage patients were 100%, 75.0%, and 0.0%, respectively. Conclusions The survival rate of HGC is associated with tumor stage, not with operation approaches. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is appropriate for T 1 patients. 展开更多

A previous study by our group found that inhibition of nischarin promotes neurite outgrowth and neuronal regeneration in Neuro-2 a cells and primary cortical neurons.In recent years,more and more studies have shown that nanomaterials have good prospects in treatment of spinal cord injury.We proposed that small interfering RNA targeting nischarin(Nis-si RNA) delivered by polyethyleneimine-alginate(PEIALG) nanoparticles promoted motor function recovery in rats with spinal cord injury.Direct microinjection of 5 μL PEI-ALG/Nis-si RNA into the spinal cord lesion area of spinal cord injury rats was performed.From day 7 after surgery,Basso,Beattie and Bresnahan score was significantly higher in rats from the PEI-ALG/Nis-si RNA group compared with the spinal cord injury group and PEI-ALG/Control-si RNA group.On day 21 after injection,hematoxylin-eosin staining showed that the necrotic area was reduced in the PEI-ALG/Nis-si RNA group.Immunohistochemistry and western blot assay results confirmed successful inhibition of nischarin expression and increased protein expression of growth-associated protein-43 in the PEI-ALG/Nis-si RNA group.These findings suggest that a complex of PEI-ALG nanoparticles and Nis-si RNA effectively suppresses nischarin expression,induces expression of growth-associated protein-43,and accelerates motor function recovery after spinal cord injury. 展开更多

White birch(Betula platyphylla)is precious material for pulpwood and widely distributed in 14 provinces of China.Previous study indicated that inhibited expression of a gene encoding an auxin amide synthase,BpGH3.5,in transgenic plants reduced the level of IAA–amino acid conjugation,resulting in more free IAA,thereby better growth of birch.Utilizing transgenic-B pGH3.5 lines to increase wood production in a wide range of environments is the goal for breeders.In three field trials here,we measured tree height,diameter at breast height,and volume of 16 BpGH3.5-transgenic 7-year-old white birch lines(including 12 antisense strand lines and 4 overexpression lines)and a wild-type white birch line from three sites that varied greatly in their environmental conditions.To select elite BpGH3.5-transgenic lines for each target environment,we used an additive main effects and multiplicative interaction model to analyze genotype by environment interaction,growth adaptability and stability.The selection criteria for elite transgenic lines were set as the average volume plus 0.75 times the standard deviation for the tested lines at each test site.Results showed that the effect of line and site for height was highly significant(P<0.01),and the effect of line×site was significant(P<0.05);selected as the elite lines were FG12,FG13 and FG27 at the Maoershan Experimental Forest Farm,FG13 and FG32 at the Shidaohe Forest Farm,and FG3 and FG31 at the Ecological Experiment Forest Farm.These seven high-yield,stable lines can now be tested in production trials or adjacent trial areas with similar environmental conditions,while the high-yield,unstable lines should be tested in production trials in areas deemed suitable for their growth.These results provide guidance on which released transgenic elite lines will grow best in a wide range of conditions. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Hypoparathyroidism is a rare disease that may occur due to primary or secondary etiologies.The estimated incidence in the United States is 24–37/100000 personyears.Congestive heart failure associated with hypocalcemia due to hypoparathyroidism is an even rarer presentation.CASE SUMMARY Here,we present a 64-year-old woman with congestive heart failure following hypocalcemia.The patient was transferred to our emergency department with complaints of rapidly progressive dyspnea,shortness of breath and heaviness of the chest for 4 d.She had a history of undergoing thyroidectomy and partial tracheotomy 2 years prior due to a malignant thyroid tumor.Muscle spasms had been present 1 year ago,and cataracts were treated with intraocular lens replacement in both eyes.Most tests were within normal ranges,except serum calcium at 1.33 mmol/L(2.20–2.65 mmol/L),ionized calcium at 0.69 mmol/L(1.15–1.29 mmol/L),and parathyroid hormone at<1.0 pg/mL(12–88 pg/mL).Echocardiography revealed an ejection fraction of 28.48%.Cardiac function was quickly reversed by restoring the serum calcium concentration.Significant improvements were noted with an ejection fraction of up to 48.50%at follow-up.CONCLUSION For patients with potential hypocalcemia,monitoring calcium levels and dealing with hypocalcemia in time to avoid serious complications are important. 展开更多

纳米科技的迅速发展使得纳米材料,特别是金属基纳米颗粒(NPs)的环境污染问题备受关注.海洋(特别是近海海湾)是金属基NPs重要的“汇”,然而环境浓度的缺失阻碍了金属基NPs在海洋环境中的风险评估.本文采用单粒子电感耦合等离子体质谱法(s... 纳米科技的迅速发展使得纳米材料,特别是金属基纳米颗粒(NPs)的环境污染问题备受关注.海洋(特别是近海海湾)是金属基NPs重要的“汇”,然而环境浓度的缺失阻碍了金属基NPs在海洋环境中的风险评估.本文采用单粒子电感耦合等离子体质谱法(sp-ICP-MS)探究了辽东湾海水中Ag、Ti、Cu和Zn基NPs的赋存水平及空间分布,并基于金属基NPs对海洋生物的预测无效应浓度(PNECs),使用风险表征比(RCR)对4种金属基NPs在辽东湾的环境风险进行了评估.结果表明,使用sp-ICP-MS以稀释法(Ti、Cu和Zn基NPs)和浊点萃取法(Ag基NPs)可以实现对4种金属基NPs的准确定量,回收率分别为97.1%、96.4%、95.3%和96.7%.空间分布表明,辽东湾中Ti基NPs的平均浓度最高(3.98×10^(8)个/L),其次为Ag、Cu和Zn基NPs;Ag基NPs在辽东湾西部沿岸浓度最高(6.81×10^(7)个/L),其他3种NPs则在北部沿岸大凌河口浓度最高,分别为1.87×10^(9)(Ti基NPs)、5.86×10^(7)(Ag基NPs)和2.12×10^(7)个/L(Zn基NPs).4种金属基NPs中,Ag基NPs的环境风险最高,在所有调查的16个站位中,有15个站位为“中风险”;4种NPs的总体环境风险(RCRtotal)在所有调查站位均处于“中风险”,且Ag基NPs对总体环境风险的贡献最大(>50%).本研究将有助于科学认识辽东湾海域金属基NPs的赋存水平和客观评估其环境风险. 展开更多

The effects of continuously regenerating diesel particulate filter (CRDPF) systems on regulated gaseous emissions, and number-size distribution and mass of particles emanated from a diesel engine have been investigated in this study. Two CRDPF units (CRDPF-1 and CRDPF-2) with different specifications were separately retrofitted to the engine running with European steady-state cycle (ESC). An electrical low pressure impactor (ELPI) was used for particle number-size distribution measurement and mass estimation. The conversion/reduction rate (RcR) of hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) across CRDPF-1 was 83% and 96.3%, respectively. Similarly, the RCR of HC and CO and across CRDPF-2 was 91.8% and 99.1%, respectively. The number concentration of particles and their concentration peaks; nuclei mode, accumulation mode and total particles; and particle mass were highly reduced with the CRDPF units. The nuclei mode particles at downstream of CRDPF-1 and CRDPF-2 decreased by 99.9% to 100% and 97.8% to 99.8% respectively; and the particle mass reduced by 73% to 92.2% and 35.3% to 72.4%, respectively, depending on the engine conditions. In addition, nuclei mode particles increased with the increasing of engine speed due to the heterogeneous nucleation initiated by the higher exhaust temperature, while accumulation mode particles were higher at higher loads due to the decrease in the air-to-fuel ratio (A/F) at higher loads. 展开更多

Flat optics presents a new path to control the phase, amplitude, and polarization state of light with ultracompact devices. Here we demonstrate chip-integrated metasurface devices for polarization detection of mid-infrared light with arbitrary polarization states. Six high-performance microscale linear and circular polarization filters based on vertically stacked plasmonic metasurfaces(with total thickness <600 nm) are integrated on the same chip to obtain all four Stokes parameters of light with high accuracy. The device designs can be tailored to operate at any wavelength in the mid-infrared spectral region and are feasible for on-chip integration with mid-infrared(mid-IR) photodetectors and imager arrays. Our work will enable on-chip mid-IR polarimeters and polarimetric imaging systems, which are highly desirable for many applications, such as clinical diagnosis, target detection, and space exploration. 展开更多

The residual Li and Li^(+)/Ni_(2)+cation mixing play essential roles in the electrochemical properties of Ni-rich cathodes.However,a general relationship between the residual Li conversion,cation mixing,and their effects on the Li^(+)kinetics and structural stability has yet to be established,due to the presence of cobalt in the cathode.Here,we explore the synergistic impact of the residual Li conversion and cation ordering on a Co-free Ni-rich cathode(i.e.,LiNi0.95Mn0.05O_(2)).It discloses that the rate capability is mainly affected by residual Li contents and operating voltage.Specifically,residual Li can be electrochemically converted to cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI)below 4.3 V,thus inducing high interphase resistance,and decomposes to produce CO_(2)-dominated gas at 4.5 V,causing temporary enhancement of Li^(+)diffusivity but severe surface degradation during cycling.Moreover,the cycling performance of Co-free Ni-rich cathode is not only determined by Li^(+)/Ni_(2)+cation-ordered superlattice,which enhances the structural stability as it functions as the pillar to impede lattice collapse at a highly charged state,but also by the robust CEI layers which protect the bulk from electrolyte attack under 4.3 V.These findings promote an in-depth understanding of residual Li conversion and Li^(+)/Ni_(2)+cation ordering on Co-free Ni-rich cathode. 展开更多

Biological macromolecules(proteins,nucleic acids,polysaccharides,etc.)are the building blocks of life,which constantly undergo chemical modifications that are often reversible and spatial-temporally regulated.These dynamic properties of chemical modifications play fundamental roles in physiological processes as well as pathological changes of living systems.The Major Research Project(MRP)funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC)—"Dynamic modifications of biomacromolecules:mechanism and chemical interventions"aims to integrate cross-disciplinary approaches at the interface of chemistry,life sciences,medicine,mathematics,material science and information science with the following goals:(i)developing specific labeling techniques and detection methods for dynamic chemical modifications of biomacromolecules,(ii)analyzing the molecular mechanisms and functional relationships of dynamic chemical modifications of biomacromolecules,and(iii)exploring biomacromolecules and small molecule probes as potential drug targets and lead compounds. 展开更多

Background:Models to predict mortality in trauma play an important role in outcome prediction and severity adjustment,which informs trauma quality assessment and research.Hospitals in China typically use the International Classification of Diseases,Tenth Revision,Clinical Modification(ICD-10-CM)to describe injury.However,there is no suitable prediction model for China.This study attempts to develop a new mortality prediction model based on the ICD-10-CM lexicon and a Chinese database.Methods:This retrospective study extracted the data of all trauma patients admitted to the Beijing Red Cross Emergency Center,from January 2012 to July 2018(«=40,205).We used relevant predictive variables to establish a prediction model following logistic regression analysis.The performance of the model was assessed based on discrimination and calibration.The bootstrapping method was used for internal validation and adjustment of model performance.Results:Sex,age,new region-severity codes,comorbidities,traumatic shock,and coma were finally included in the new model as key predictors of mortality.Among them,coma and traumatic shock had the highest scores in the model.The discrimination and calibration of this model were significant,and the internal validation performance was good.The values of the area under the curve and Brier score for the new model were 0.9640 and 0.0177,respectively;after adjustment of the bootstrapping method,they were 0.9630 and 0.0178,respectively.Conclusions:The new model(China Mortality Prediction Model in Trauma based on the ICD-10-CM lexicon)showed great discrimination and calibration,and performed well in internal validation;it should be further verified externally. 展开更多

Human SAMHD1(h SAM)restricts lentiviruses at the reverse transcription step through its d NTP triphosphohydrolase(d NTPase)activity.Besides humans,several mammalian species such as cats and cows that carry their own lentiviruses also express SAMHD1.However,the intracellular distribution of feline and bovine SAMHD1(f SAM and b SAM)and its significance in their lentiviral restriction function is not known.Here,we demonstrated that f SAM and b SAM were both predominantly localized to the nucleus and nuclear localization signal(11KRPR14)-deleted f SAM and b SAM relocalized to the cytoplasm.Both cytoplasmic f SAM and b SAM retained the antiviral function against different lentiviruses and cytoplasmic f SAM could restrict Vpx-encoding SIV and HIV-2 more efficiently than its wild-type(WT)protein as cytoplasmic h SAM.Further investigation revealed that cytoplasmic f SAM was resistant to Vpx-induced degradation like cytoplasmic h SAM,while cytoplasmic b SAM was not,but they all demonstrated the same in vitro d NTPase activity and all could interact with Vpx as their WT proteins,indicating that cytoplasmic h SAM and f SAM can suppress more SIV and HIV-2 by being less sensitive to Vpx-mediated degradation.Our results suggested that f SAM-and b SAM-mediated lentiviral restriction does not require their nuclear localization and that f SAM shares more common features with h SAM.These findings may provide insights for the establishment of alternative animal models to study SAMHD1 in vivo. 展开更多

Polyhalogenated carbazoles(PHCZs)are recently raising much attention due to their toxicity and ubiquitous environmental distribution.However,little knowledge is known about their ambient occurrences and the potential source.In this study,we developed an analytical method based on GC-MS/MS to simultaneously determine 11 PHCZs in PM_(2.5) from urban Beijing,China.The optimized method provided low method limit of quantifications(MLOQs,1.45–7.39 fg/m^(3))and satisfied recoveries(73.4%–109.5%).This method was applied to analyze the PHCZs in the outdoor PM_(2.5)(n=46)and fly ash(n=6)collected from 3 kinds of surrounding incinerator plants(steel plant,medical waste incinerator and domestic waste incinerator).The levels of Σ_(11)PHCZs in PM_(2.5) ranged from 0.117 to 5.54 pg/m^(3)(median 1.18 pg/m^(3)).3-chloro-9H-carbazole(3-CCZ),3-bromo-9H-carbazole(3-BCZ),and 3,6-dichloro-9Hcarbazole(36-CCZ)were the dominant compounds,accounting for 93%.3-CCZ and 3-BCZ were significantly higher in winter due to the high PM_(2.5) concentration,while 36-CCZ was higher in spring,which may be related to the resuspending of surface soil.Furthermore,the levels of11PHCZs in fly ash ranged from 338 to 6101 pg/g.3-CCZ,3-BCZ and 36-CCZ accounted for 86.0%.The congener profiles of PHCZs between fly ash and PM_(2.5) were highly similar,indicating that combustion process could be an important source of ambient PHCZs.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first research providing the occurrences of PHCZs in outdoor PM_(2.5). 展开更多

We report the synthesis of a quadruple helicene with a rubicene core R1 by a Scholl reaction.Among the 10 stereoisomers including 4 pairs of enantiomers and 2 meso isomers,only 2 pairs of enantiomers and 1 meso isomer have been isolated.The sample structures were unambiguously determined by X-ray crystallography to be(P,P)_(6)-(P,P)_(5)/(M,M)_(6)-(M,M)_(5)-R1-A,which has a propeller-shaped structure,and(M,M)_(6)-(P,P)_(5)/(P,P)_(6)-(M,M)_(5)-R1-B and(M,P)_(6)-(P,M)_(5)-R1-C,which have saddle-shaped structures.The chiral resolutions of R1 were carried out by chiral HPLC,revealing two pairs of chiral stereoisomers(P,P)_(6)-(P,P)_(5)/(P,P)_(6)-(M,M)_(5),(M,M)_(6)-(P,P)_(5)/(M,M)_(6)-(M,M)_(5) as well as a meso isomer(M,P)_(6)-(P,M)_(5),which were further characterized by CD spectroscopy and time-dependent density functional theory(TD-DFT)calculations.Surprisingly,the UV-vis absorption and emission spectra of these resolved stereoisomers and unresolved R1 were almost identical.In addition,the chemical oxidation of R1 led to the formation of radical cations and dications at room temperature. 展开更多

LDformer:a parallel neural network model for long-term power forecasting

Accurate long-term power forecasting is important in the decision-making operation of the power grid and power consumption management of customers to ensure the power system’s reliable power supply and the grid economy’s reliable operation.However,most time-series forecasting models do not perform well in dealing with long-time-series prediction tasks with a large amount of data.To address this challenge,we propose a parallel time-series prediction model called LDformer.First,we combine Informer with long short-term memory(LSTM)to obtain deep representation abilities in the time series.Then,we propose a parallel encoder module to improve the robustness of the model and combine convolutional layers with an attention mechanism to avoid value redundancy in the attention mechanism.Finally,we propose a probabilistic sparse(ProbSparse)self-attention mechanism combined with UniDrop to reduce the computational overhead and mitigate the risk of losing some key connections in the sequence.Experimental results on five datasets show that LDformer outperforms the state-of-the-art methods for most of the cases when handling the different long-time-series prediction tasks. 展开更多
