Purpose:The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of total soy saponins(TS) on the free radical metabolism from the quadriceps femoris muscle,serum testosterone,lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),and blood urea nitrogen(BUN) in rats exercised to exhaustion.Methods:A one-time exhausted treadmill exercise session was used.Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 4 groups:a control group—animals receiving no TS and no exercise(NTSNE),animals receiving TS but no exercise group(TSNE),animals receiving no TS but exercised to exhaustion group(NTSE),and animals receiving TS and exercised to exhaustion group(TSE).The TSNE and TSE groups were fed TS at a dosage of 20 mg/kg body weight once per day for 2 weeks.The NTSE group was given a placebo,and the NTSNE group was not given any treatment.The NTSE and TSE groups were exercised at speed of 30 m/min on treadmill until exhausted.The exercise time and exercise distance were recorded when the rats became exhausted and the rats were then decapitated and anatomized immediately.A 10% homogenate of the quadriceps femoris tissue was prepared.The levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),glutathione reductase(GR),reduced glutathione(GSH),total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),LDH,BUN,and serum testosterone were tested.Results:TS significantly increased the exercise time to exhaustion by 20.62%(p < 0.05).The MDA levels were decreased significantly in the TSNE group than in NTSNE group(p < 0.05);the T-AOC levels increased significantly in the TSNE group than in the other 3 groups(p < 0.01,p < 0.05,p < 0.05).The LDH activity significantly increased in the NTSE group than in TSNE group(p < 0.05).The BUN levels significantly increased in the NTSE group than in the other 3 groups(p < 0.01,p < 0.01,p < 0.05),and significantly increased in the TSE group than in NTSNE and TSNE groups(both p < 0.01).The serum testosterone levels increased significantly in the TSNE group than in the other 3 groups(all p < 0.01).SOD,CAT,GSH-Px,GR,and GSH were not statistically different among the groups.Conclusion:TS can significantly improve the exercised rats' serum testosterone level and antioxidant activity in their quadriceps femoris to varying degrees,decrease MDA and serum LDH and BUN levels,increase the exercise time,and delay the occurrence of the fatigue. 展开更多

In this study, two-dimensional MXene (Ti3 C2 Tx ) was employed to modify the interface of carbon fiber-reinforced polyetherketoneketone (CF/PEKK) composites, in order to simultaneously improve the electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performances and mechanical properties. The obtained CF/PEKK composites possessed outstanding EMI and mechanical performances, as anticipated. Specifically, the CF/PEKK composites modified with MXene at 1 mg mL–1 exhibited an excellent EMI shielding effectiveness of 65.2 dB in the X-band, a 103.1% enhancement compared with the unmodified CF/PEKK composites. The attractive EMI shielding performances of CF/PEKK composites originated from enhanced ohmic losses and multiple reflections of electromagnetic waves with the help of the MXene and CF layers. In addition, CF/PEKK composites achieved the best mechanical properties by optimizing the dispersion concentration of MXene to 0.1 mg mL–1 . The flexural strength, flexural modulus, and interlaminar shear strength of CF/PEKK composites reached 1127 MPa, 81 GPa, and 89 MPa, which were 28.5%, 9.5%, and 29.7% higher than that of the unmodified CF/PEKK composites, respectively. Such improvement in mechanical properties could be ascribed to the comprehensive effect of mechanical interlocking, hydrogen bonds, and Van der Waals forces between the introduced MXene and CF, PEKK, respectively. 展开更多

控制感是人类的根本需要,相信世界稳定有序、"善有善报、恶有恶报"的正义动机可以帮助我们获得控制感.正义动机是一个内隐加工过程,指向他人遭遇(而非自身遭遇)或社会整体的正义动机是人类根深蒂固的价值判断和社会态度,但由... 控制感是人类的根本需要,相信世界稳定有序、"善有善报、恶有恶报"的正义动机可以帮助我们获得控制感.正义动机是一个内隐加工过程,指向他人遭遇(而非自身遭遇)或社会整体的正义动机是人类根深蒂固的价值判断和社会态度,但由于受传统方法社会赞许效应和样本偏差影响,如何在内隐层面准确测量和验证正义动机的他人凸显效应一直是正义研究的难题.因此,本研究采用词嵌入联想测验(word embedding association test)的词、句向量指标,检验正义动机在内隐水平上的他人凸显效应.微博语料库的词向量分析表明,"他人"-"正义"的余弦相似度(语义关联度)显著大于"自我"-"正义"余弦相似度;谷歌BERT模型的句向量分析也重复了上述结果.总之,基于机器学习的词嵌入联想测验证明了内隐正义动机的他人凸显效应,即人们在潜意识里相信他人(而非自己)遭遇或社会整体是个简单美好的正义世界.这提示我们,看似无序的网络世界却蕴含民众对社会秩序的强烈需要,而词嵌入联想测验也为无结构文本背后的社会态度测量提供了新的算法. 展开更多

Tyrosine phosphatase SHP2 is a promising drug target in cancer immunotherapy due to its bidirectional role in both tumor growth promotion and T-cell inactivation. Its allosteric inhibitor SHP099 is known to inhibit cancer cell growth both in vitro and in vivo. However, whether SHP099-mediated SHP2 inhibition retards tumor growth in vivo via anti-tumor immunity remains elusive. To address this, a CT-26 colon cancer xenograft model was established in mice since this cell line is insensitive to SHP099.Consequently, SHP099 minimally affected CT-26 tumor growth in immuno-deficient nude mice, but significantly decreased the tumor burden in CT-26 tumor-bearing mice with intact immune system.SHP099 augmented anti-tumor immunity, as shown by the elevated proportion of CD8tIFN-γtT cells and the upregulation of cytotoxic T-cell related genes including Granzyme B andPerforin, which decreased the tumor load. In addition, tumor growth in mice with SHP2-deficient T-cells was markedly slowed down because of enhanced anti-tumor responses. Finally, the combination of SHP099 and antiPD-1 antibody showed a higher therapeutic efficacy than either monotherapy in controlling tumor growthin two colon cancer xenograft models, indicating that these agents complement each other. Our study suggests that SHP2 inhibitor SHP099 is a promising candidate drug for cancer immunotherapy. 展开更多

A series of new Cr-Mn-Fe-V-Cu high-entropy alloys were prepared by arc melting and suction casting.It is found that with the addition of Cu, the structure of the alloys evolved from BCC + BCC1 phases to BCC + FCC phases. With increase of Cu, the volume fraction of the Cu-Mn-rich FCC phase increased, and the morphology of the FCC phase transformed from granular particles to long strips and blocks. Compared with other reported HEAs, the Cr-Mn-Fe-V-Cu HEAs exhibit a good balance between strength and ductility. The CrMn0.3 FeVCu0.06 alloy with granular FCC particles exhibits the highest compressive yield strength(1273 MPa) and excellent ductility(εf= 50.7%). Quantitative calculations for different strengthening mechanisms demonstrate that dislocation and precipitate strengthening are responsible for high strength of the CrMn0.3 FeVCu0.06 alloy, while the solid solution strengthening effect is very low because of its small atomic-size difference. In addition, the CrMn0.3 FeVCu0.06 alloy exhibits good damping capacity due to its high dislocation and interface damping effects. Therefore, the dislocation density and distribution of FCC phase are the crucial factors for improvement of both mechanical properties and damping capacity of the HEAs. 展开更多

Water electrolysis is considered to be an effective and promising technology to make high-purity H_(2),however,the relationship between anion species and catalytic performance of electrocatalysts is still not completely clear.Herein,we report an anion engineering strategy to tune electrocatalytic water oxidation activity for Co-based materials.Novel hierarchical Co-based oxide/selenide/phosphide(Co-A,A = O,Se,P)hexagrams have been chosen as model materials.Electrochemical results and theoretical calculations reveal that the electron configuration,the electrical conductivity,and the oxidation potential of Co element in Co-A hexagrams could be moderated by the substitution of P atoms,which leads to the superior OER performance.Particularly,Co-P hexagram displays a low overpotential(η = 269 mV) at j = 10 mA/cm^(2) for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER) compared to Co-O hexagram(η = 399 m V) and Co-Se hexagram(η = 347 mV).This work is of great importance in understanding coordination atoms(O,Se and P)induced electrocatalytic properties of hierarchical Co-based materials. 展开更多

Impairment of glucose(Glu)uptake and storage by skeletal muscle is a prime risk factor for the development of metabolic diseases.Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1(hnRNP Al)is a highly abundant RNA-binding protein that has been implicated in diverse cellular functions.The aim of this study was to investigate the function of hnRNP A1 on muscle tissue insulin sensitivity and systemic Glu homeostasis.Our results showed that conditional deletion of hnRNP Al in the muscle gave rise to a severe insulin resistance phenotype in mice fed a high-fat diet(HFD).Conditional knockout mice fed a HFD showed exacerbated obesity,insulin resistance,and hepatic steatosis.In vitro interference of hnRNP Al in C2C12 myotubes impaired insulin signal transduction and inhibited Glu uptake,whereas hnRNP Al overexpression in C2C12 myotubes protected against insulin resistance induced by supraphysiological concentrations of insulin.The expression and stability of glycogen synthase(gysl)mRNA were also decreased in the absence of hnRNP A l.Mechanistically,hnRNP Al interacted with gys l and stabilized its mRNA,thereby promoting glycogen synthesis and maintaining the insulin sensitivity in muscle tissue.Taken together,our findings are the first to show that reduced expression of hnRNP Al in skeletal muscle affects the metabolic properties and systemic insulin sensitivity by inhibiting glycogen synthesis. 展开更多

Background:To investigate the prognosis and predictors for seizure control in epileptic patients in China.Methods:Eight hundred and twenty patients with epilepsy who visited Xuanwu Hospital from October 2017 to January 2020,were enrolled.The clinical information of the patients was obtained by retrospectively reviewing medical records.Prognostic measures of seizure control included remission,relapse and occurrence of drug resistance.The relationship of prognosis of seizure control with factors such as demographics,clinical characteristics and initial electroencephalography(EEG)features was investigated.Results:A total of 503(61.3%)patients experienced a 1-year remission and 330(49.3%of 669)had a 2-year remission.Idiopathic type of epilepsy(P<0.001),normal EEG(P<0.05),number of antiepileptic drugs(P<0.05)and seizure frequency of<1/month(P<0.001)at the first arrival predicted a remission independently.Of the 503 patients who achieved a 1-year remission,184(36.6%)experienced a relapse,due to external reversible causes(58 patients)or with unknown reversible triggers(126 patients).No factors were found to be associated with a relapse(P>0.05).At the end of the study,322 patients(39.3%)developed drug resistance.The development of drug resistance was associated with the following factors:symptomatic aetiology of epilepsy,epileptiform abnormality in EEG,number of antiepileptic drugs and seizure frequency of≥1/month at first arrival(P<0.001).For symptomatic epilepsy,patients with meningitis/encephalitis(P=0.007)were more likely to develop drug-resistant epilepsy than these with other causes.Conclusions:Remission is a common process.The type of epilepsy(idiopathic or symptomatic),EEG features,seizure frequency and treatment history at first arrival are related to both remission and terminal drug resistance.Among various causes of symptomatic epilepsy,meningitis/encephalitis is associated with the worst prognosis of epilepsy. 展开更多

Given that the USA and Germany are the most populous countries in North America and Western Europe,understanding the behavioral differences between American and German users of online social networks is essential.In this work,we conduct a data-driven study based on the Yelp Open Dataset.We demonstrate the behavioral characteristics of both American and German users from different aspects,i.e.,social connectivity,review styles,and spatiotemporal patterns.In addition,we construct a classification model to accurately recognize American and German users according to the behavioral data.Our model achieves high classification performance with an F1-score of 0.891 and AUC of 0.949. 展开更多

Micro-vibration is an important factor affecting the imaging quality and pointing accu-racy of the in-orbit satellites.To address the problem of micro-vibration compensation,a general summary for modeling,analysis,suppression,and compensation approach should be outlined.In this review,micro-vibration characteristics and its impacts on the payloads are firstly analyzed.Afterwards,methods for micro-vibration measurement are provided.In detail,the principles and practical applications of these methods are introduced.Then,advanced technologies for micro-vibration suppression are summarized from micro-vibration source attenuation,transfer path opti-mization and sensitive load isolation.Two approaches have been found to be effective for micro-vibration compensation.The one is the Line-of-Sight(LOS)stabilization assisted with Inertial Ref-erence Unit(IRU).The other is using image restoration technology to remove the blur caused by platform jitter.The compensation technique and research status of the two techniques are reviewed.This work will provide researchers with technical guidelines for micro-vibration suppression. 展开更多
