Adult-onset Stil's disease(AOSD)is a rare condition that lies between autoinflammatory syndrome and autoimmune disease.The main clinical manifestations include fever,chills,rash,joint swelling and pain,peripheral blood leukocytosis,splenomegaly,etc.It is a systemic disease affecting between 1 and 34 people per million.The average age of onset is 35 years old,with a slightly higher prevalence rate in women.Since AOSD lacks early specific symptoms and signs,non-specialist doctors have limited understanding of the disease,and patients are prone to clinical misdiagnosis,mistreatment,and delayed disease progression.This paper reports a patient whose AOSD was misdiagnosed as acute fibrinous and organizing pneumonia. 展开更多

In this study, purebred Mongolian cattle were treated with a series of technical means including superovulation, artificial insemination, non-surgical embryo flushing, embryo grading and embryo cryopreservation, aiming at exploring a set of mature, stable production and breeding program for purebred Mongolian cattle embryos. The results showed that the optimal dose of FSH for superovulation of bred Mongolian cattle was 410 IU; the optimal dose of FSH for superovulation of muhiparous Mongolian cattle was 440 IU. Bred Mongolian cattle exhibited higher average number of available embryos and embryo utilization rate compared with muhiparous Mongolian cattle, but the latter exhibited higher average number of embryos recovered. 展开更多

[Objectives]The purpose was to solve the problem that high temperature and high humidity will seriously affect the health and weight gain of pigs.[Methods]The fan-water curtain cooling system was popularized in large-scale pig farms.[Results]The pigs using the water curtain cooling system gained 1.5 kg from weaning to the day of slaughter.The feed-to-gain ratio was 2.43∶1,a year-on-year decrease of 0.05.The average weight gain per pig was about 5-10 kg.[Conclusions]The application of fan-water curtain cooling system in pig production can accelerate the growth rate of pigs,reduce the occurrence of diseases and improve the utilization of feed,eventually improving the productivity of pigs. 展开更多

[Objectives]The demand for ponies has been increasing in recent years,but the stock of Debao ponies is far from enough to supply market demand.In this context,this paper aims to achieve the purpose of conservation,purification and rejuvenation.[Methods]Under the conditions of same age,semen collection frequency,season,feeding environment,feed nutrition level,etc.,the semen of Debao pony and American pearl pony were collected,respectively,and the quality of the semen collected was analyzed.[Results]There was no significant difference in semen volume between the two breeds of ponies;the sperm vitality of the firstly-collected semen of ponies of which the semen has not been collected for a long time was low.The semen quality of American pearl pony was slightly better than that of Debao pony.[Conclusions]When the semen quality of American pearl pony is stable,it can be used for cross-breeding with the Debao pony mare,highlighting the hybrid vigor of the two breeds,thereby achieving the purpose of reducing the size of ponies. 展开更多

[Objectives]To study the effects of Chinese herbal medicine feed additives on the growth performance and dietary nutrient metabolic rate of black-one chickens.[Methods]480 pieces of 1-day-old Donglan Black-bone Chickens were selected and divided into 4 groups,with 6 replicates in each group,with 20 pieces in each replicate.Among them,group A was the control group and was fed the basal diet;the groups B,C,and D were the experimental groups,which were separately supplemented with 0.25%,0.50%and 1.00%of Chinese herbal medicine additives in the basal diet,and the experimental period was 70 d.At the end of the feeding experiment,24 experimental chickens with similar body weight were selected from each group,and the same design of the feeding experiment was used to continue to feed the original diet for the metabolic experiment to determine the nutrient metabolic rate.[Results]Except the 50-70 d stage,the average daily gain(ADG)of group B in other stages was increased by 5.00%-9.15%(P<0.05),and the average body weight of group B at 70 d was also increased by 4.86%(P<0.05);the ADG of group C at 36-49,1-49 and 1-70 d and the average individual weight at 70 d were also higher than that of group A by 5.90%,2.66%,2.68%and 2.57%,respectively(P>0.05);at 36-49 d,the average daily feed intake(ADFI)of group A was higher than that of group B by 6.04%(P<0.01),and was also higher than that of groups C and D by 5.12%and 4.13%(P<0.05),respectively;at 1-49 d,the ADFI of group A was higher than that of group C by 2.86%(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the four groups of experimental chickens at each stage(P>0.05);at 22-35 and 1-70 d,the feed to gain ratio(F/G)of group B was 6.32%and 3.41%lower than that of group A(P<0.05),and at 36-49 and 1-49 d,the F/G of group B was even lower;at 36-49 d,the F/G of group C was 10.15%lower than that of group A(P<0.05),and at 1-49 d,it was also lower than that of group A by 5.29%(P<0.01);there was no significant difference between the two groups at other stages.In terms of nutrient metabolism:the three different amounts of this additive have increased the metabolic rate of DM,CP,CF,NFE,CA,Ca,P,TE and other nutrients in the diet to varying degrees,especially the addition of 0.25%and 0.50%had the significant increase.[Conclusions]The addition of 0.25%Chinese herbal medicine additives in the diet can significantly improve the growth performance and main nutrient metabolic rate of Donglan Black-bone Chickens. 展开更多

卤代醌是一类卤代芳烃类环境污染物的致癌中间体,也是在饮用水中新发现的氯化消毒副产物。我们最近发现卤代醌和H_(2)O_(2)或有机氢过氧化物体系可以不依赖过渡金属离子,而产生高活性的羟基/烷氧自由基和醌氧/醌碳自由基。目前尚不清楚... 卤代醌是一类卤代芳烃类环境污染物的致癌中间体,也是在饮用水中新发现的氯化消毒副产物。我们最近发现卤代醌和H_(2)O_(2)或有机氢过氧化物体系可以不依赖过渡金属离子,而产生高活性的羟基/烷氧自由基和醌氧/醌碳自由基。目前尚不清楚这些卤代醌类致癌物和氢过氧化物共存能否诱导DNA产生氧化损伤和修饰,以及其潜在的分子机制是什么。我们的研究发现DNA在四氯-1,4-苯醌/H_(2)O_(2)体系中可被氧化产生8-氧脱氧鸟苷、DNA链断裂和三种甲基氧化产物,这些反应不依赖过渡金属离子,且由于卤代醌与DNA的嵌入作用而导致其氧化作用增强。其他卤代醌也观察到了类似的现象,而且通常比经典的Fenton体系更有效。我们进一步将研究从纯化的DNA扩展到了活细胞的基因组DNA。同时还发现卤代醌和有机氢过氧化物(如叔丁基过氧化氢或在正常生理条件下产生的13S-过氧羟基-9Z,11E-十八碳二烯酸(13-HPODE))共存时,可通过独特的醌氧自由基介导机制诱导DNA氧化生成致突变性更强的咪唑啉酮类产物dIz。这些发现为解释普遍存在的卤代醌类致癌中间体和消毒副产物的潜在基因毒性、致突变性和致癌性提供了新思路。 展开更多
