Application of Specialized Group Management in the Quality Control of Perioperative Nursing

Objective:To explore the role of specialized group management in the quality control of perioperative nursing.Methods:45 surgical nurses from our hospital were selected as the research subjects.Traditional operating room management was adopted from July 2019 to June 2020,and specialized group management was adopted from July 2020 to June 2021.The surgeon’s satisfaction,surgical nurses’core professional competence,and surgical patients’satisfaction were obtained through surveys and the results were analyzed.Results:Surgeon satisfaction before the implementation of specialized group management was significantly lower than after its implementation(P<0.05).Besides,surgical nurses’core professional competency scores before the implementation of specialized group management were significantly lower than after its implementation(P<0.05).Lastly,surgical patients’satisfaction before the implementation of specialized group management was significantly lower than after its implementation(P<0.05).Conclusion:Specialized group management helps to improve the quality of perioperative care and should be applied in clinical practice.

Progress in Investigating the Current Mental Health Status Among Caregivers for Surgical Oncology Patients

This article aims to discuss the current state and research progress concerning the mental health of caregivers for surgical oncology patients.The goal is to offer insights that can serve as a reference for further enhancements in caregivers’mental well-being.This article conducts a comprehensive review and analysis of recent studies on the mental health of caregivers for patients undergoing oncologic surgery.These studies reveal that caregivers commonly grapple with mental health issues,including anxiety,depression,and stress.These problems are closely linked to the stress of the patient’s condition and treatment,the caregiver’s own mental strain,and a lack of social support.In addition,the mental health status of caregivers significantly influences the patient’s treatment and recovery process.Implementing various interventions,such as mental health education,services,the establishment of mental health support teams,and engagement in mental health promotion activities,can contribute to the improvement of caregivers’mental well-being.This,in turn,has the potential to enhance treatment outcomes and the overall quality of life for patients.

Improving physical properties of poly(vinyl alcohol)/montmorillonite nanocomposite hydrogels via the Hofmeister effect

Hydrogel is a kind of three-dimensional crosslinked polymer material with high moisture content.However,due to the network defects of polymer gels,traditional hydrogels are usually brittle and fragile,which limits their practical applications.Herein,we present a Hofmeister effect-aided facile strategy to prepare high-performance poly(vinyl alcohol)/montmorillonite nanocomposite hydrogels.Layered montmorillonite nanosheets can not only serve as crosslinking agents to enhance the mechanical properties of the hydrogel but also promote the ion conduction.More importantly,based on the Hofmeister effect,the presence of(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)can endow nanocomposite hydrogels with excellent mechanical properties by affecting PVA chains'aggregation state and crystallinity.As a result,the as-prepared nanocomposite hydrogels possess unique physical properties,including robust mechanical and electrical properties.The as-prepared hydrogels can be further assembled into a high-performance flexible sensor,which can sensitively detect large-scale and small-scale human activities.The simple design concept of this work is believed to provide a new prospect for developing robust nanocomposite hydrogels and flexible devices in the future.

Cardiac rehabilitation knowledge in patients with coronary heart disease in Baoding city of China: A cross-sectional study

Objective: The purpose of this study is to assess the awareness on cardiac rehabilitation (CR) in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods: Inpatients diagnosed with coronary heart disease were recruited from 3 hospitals in this study.The study employed a cardiac structured questionnaire to assess respondents' level of awareness,and bivariate to analyze the sociodemographic factors that influence the awareness on CR.Results: Of all 500 participants,66.40% were male and the mean age was 62.51 ± 9.96 years.The mean score of knowledge was 44.00 ± 17.00 (score range: 0-93),and the mean level of awareness was 47.31%(awareness range: 0-100%).The highest mean level of awareness was in the reexamination subscale (98%) and the lower were in the basic information about CR program,SP optimized medication and heart rate subscale.Bivariate analysis showed that higher age was associated with less knowledge.Patients with higher education level and better income status had better knowledge.And patients who lived in rural and had no jobs had less knowledge.Conclusions: This study showed low levels of awareness on CR program in CHD patients in Baoding.Therefore,the need for health education is indicated in this study to improve the awareness on CR among CHD patients.

Health literacy and health outcomes in hypertension: An integrative review

Objective:The aim of this study was to summarize the evidence of health literacy and health outcomes in hypertensive patients.Methods:Articles published in English were searched from six databases:MEDLINE,CINAHL,Embase,ERIC,psycINFO,and SCOPUS.The articles published up to September 2017 were included.Results:Nineteen publications were included in the review.There was quality and consistent evidence that hypertensive patients with lower literacy had poorer knowledge.There was inconsistent evidence to show the relationship between health literacy and clinical outcomes,of systolic and diastolic blood pressure,and blood pressure control;behavioral outcomes,of self-care,self-efficacy,adherence;patientphysician interactions outcomes,of patient-physician communication,patient trust,involvement in decision making and other outcomes.Conclusion:The person with low health literacy is likely to have poor knowledge of hypertension.However,there is insufficient evidence to suggest that health literacy is associated with outcomes of hypertension independently.

Ground-state phase diagram of the dimerizedspin-1/2 two-leg ladder

Dimerized spin-1/2 ladders exhibit a variety of phase structures,which depend on the intra-chain and inter-chain spin exchange energies as well as on the dimerization pattern of the ladder.Using the density matrix renormalization group(DMRG)algorithm,we study critical properties of the bond-alternating two-leg Heisenberg spin ladder with diagonal interaction J_(×).Two types of spin systems,staggered dimerized antiferromagnetic ladder and columnar dimerized ferro-antiferromagnetic couplings ladder,are investigated.To clarify the phase transition behaviors,we simultaneously analyze the string order parameter(SOP),the twisted order parameter(TOP),as well as a measurement of the quantum information analysis.Based on measuring this different observables,we establish the phase diagram accurately and give the fitting functions of the phase boundaries.In addition,the phase transition of cross-coupled spin ladder(in the absence of intrinsic dimerization)is also discussed.

Ticagrelor Protects against Sepsis-Induced Acute Kidney Injury through an Adenosine Receptor-Dependent Pathway

Objective Ticagrelor is a widely used anti-platelet drug.However,the mechanisms by which ticagrelor protects against sepsis-induced acute kidney injury(AKI)have not been clearly demonstrated.We designed this study to explore the protective effect of ticagrelor on sepsis-induced AKI and to explore the underlying mechanisms.Methods C57BL6J mice received oral ticagrelor(20 mg/kg and 50 mg/kg)for 7 days,and then caecal ligation and puncture(CLP)were performed.An adenosine receptor antagonist,CGS15943,was administered(10 mg/kg,intraperitoneal injection)to block the adenosine pathway 2 h before CLP.After 24 h,serum creatinine levels were measured.Periodic acid-Schiff(PAS)staining and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL)staining were employed to analyze pathological changes and cell apoptosis.Serum concentrations of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),and mRNA expression of tissue TNF-αand IL-1βwere detected.Western blotting analysis was used to determine AKT and mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)protein expression in the kidney.Results PAS staining showed less swelling of renal tubules,and TUNEL staining revealed less cell apoptosis in the ticagrelor group than in the CLP group.Serum creatinine levels were significantly lower in the ticagrelor group than in the CLP group.Moreover,significantly lower serum and kidney levels of TNF-αand IL-1βwere observed in the ticagrelor group.CGS15943 blocked the effects of ticagrelor.Western blotting analysis showed increased phosphorylation of AKT and mTOR in the kidneys of the 50 mg/kg ticagrelor group.The adenosine receptor antagonist inhibited the activation of AKT and mTOR.Conclusion This study demonstrates that the protective effect of ticagrelor on sepsis-induced AKI depends on adenosine receptor activation and the subsequent increase of AKT and mTOR phosphorylation.

Tuning the local coordination environment of silver(Ⅰ) coordination networks with counterions for enhanced electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction

Very recently, the local coordination environment of active sites has been found to strongly influence their performance in electrocatalytic CO_(2) reduction by tuning the intrinsic kinetics of CO_(2) activation and intermediate stabilization. It is imperative to elucidate the mechanism for such an influence towards the rational design of efficient catalysts;however, the complex interactions between the multiple factors involved in the system make it challenging to establish a clear structure–performance relationship. In this work, we chose ion-intercalated silver(I)-based coordination networks(AgCNs) with a well-defined structure as a model platform, which enables us to understand the regulation mechanism of counterions as the counterions are the only tuning factor involved in such a system. We prepared two isostructural Ag CNs with different intercalation ions or counterions of BF_(4)^(-) and ClO_(4)^(-)(named as AgCNs-BF_(4) and AgCNs-ClO_(4)) and found that the former has a more competitive CO_(2) electroreduction performance than the latter. AgCNs-BF_(4) achieves the highest Faradaic efficiency for CO_(2) to CO of 87.1% at-1.0 V(vs. RHE) with a higher partial current density, while AgCNs-ClO_(4) exhibits only 77.2% at the same applied potential.Spectroscopic characterizations and theoretical calculation reveal that the presence of BF_(4)^(-)is more favorable for stabilizing the COOH^(*) intermediate by weakening hydrogen bonds, which accounts for the superior activity of Ag CNs-BF_(4).

Stereodivergent Synthesis of Carbocyclic Quaternary α-Amino Acid Derivatives Containing Two Contiguous Stereocenters

A novel approach to stereodivergent synthesis of carbocyclicα-quaternary amino acid derivatives,bearing two contiguous stereocenters,is proposed through sequential dual Cu/Ir-catalyzed asymmetric allylation and ring-closing metathesis.A variety of five and six-membered carbocyclicα-quaternary amino acid derivatives could be readily achieved in good to high yields with exclusive regioselectivities,excellent diastereoselectivities(13:1->20:1 dr)and enantioselectivities(generally>99%ee).Of particular note is that the current protocol is also a versatile synthetic tool for the stereodivergent construction of the challenging seven and eight-membered carbocyclicα-amino acid derivatives.All four stereoisomers of these important molecules could be precisely synthesized through the permutation of chiral Cu/Ir catalytic system.The power of this strategy has been demonstrated for the facile access to some biologically active chiral molecules,such as spiro-hydantoins.
