The natural convection induced by the thermal buoyancy generates an upward flow pattern especially at the outlet zone, and has little effect on the fluid flow in the inlet zone. The maximum viscosity is 700 times larger than the laminar viscosity, which indicates the strong turbulent flow in the tundish. The maximum temperature difference in the whole tundish is 82 K. The temperature near the stopper rod and the short wall is obviously lower than that in the inlet zone. The existence of the stopper rod has a big effect on the fluid flow entering the SEN and the mold. All the characteristics of the tundish geometry should be considered to accurately simulate the fluid flow in the tundish.展开更多

During thecommercial test the operation of the C9+ removal tower, the de-pentanizer tower and its reflux line, productdelivery line, reflux drum, condenser, and reboiler of the prefractionation system that were susceptible tofouling and blocking went smoothly and the run cycle was significantly extended. The amount of foulingwas apparently lower than what was before the said commercial test. The fouling was loose and soft, andcould be easily cleaned. Test results have shown that this technology can effectively suppress the polymer-ization and fouling of active C5 diolefins existing in the pyrogasoline hydrotreating/prefractionation system,and can extend the run cycle of the process unit.展开更多
In order to improve the accuracy of model for terminative temperature in steelmaking, it is necessary to predict and control before decarburization. Thus, an optimization neural network model of terminative temperatur...In order to improve the accuracy of model for terminative temperature in steelmaking, it is necessary to predict and control before decarburization. Thus, an optimization neural network model of terminative temperature in the process of dephosphorization by laying correlative degree weights to all input factors related was used. Then sim- ulation experiment of model newly established is conducted utilizing 210 data from a domestic steel plant. The results show that hit rate arrives at 56.45~~ when error is within plus or minus 5%, and the value is 100% when within ~10%. Comparing to the traditional neural network prediction model, the accuracy almost increases by 6. 839o//oo. Thus, the simulation prediction fits the real perfectly, which accounts for that neural network model for terminative tempera- ture based on grey theory can reflect accurately the practice in dephosphorization.
