Chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection,which threatens global public health,is a major contributor to liver-related morbidity and mortality.Examinations for liver diseases related to chronic HBV infection-including laboratory tests,ultrasounds,computed tomography(CT),and liver biopsies-may take up medical resources,particularly since they overlap in most instances.Thus,there is an urgent need to establish an economical and effective diagnosis method in order to streamline the medical process for HBV-related disea ses.Using complex network models constructed based on clinical blood tests,we provide such a method by defining the novel measure of functional resilience to assess patients’liver conditions.By combining network models and dynamics,we discovered the pivotal items and their corresponding thresholds,which can guide further research on preventing disease deterioration in critical states of these diseases.The macro-averaged precision of our method,functional resilience,is84.74%,whereas the macro-averaged precision of physicians’experience without assistance from imaging or biopsy is 55.63%.From an economic perspective,our approach could save the equivalent of at least30 USD per visit for most Chinese patients and at least 400 USD per visit for most US patients,compared with general diagnostic methods.Globally,this will add to savings of at least 10.5 billion USD annually.Our method can comprehensively evaluate the condition of patients’livers and help avert the waste of medical resources during the diagnosis of liver disease by reducing excessive imaging exams. 展开更多

Rational design of photocatalyst to maximize the use of sunlight is one of the issues to be solved in photocatalysis technology.In this study,the CuFe_(2)O_(4)@C/Cd_(0.9)Zn_(0.1)S(CFO@C/CZS)S-scheme photocatalyst with photothermal effect was synthesized by ultrasonic self-assembly combined with calcination.The dark CFO@C absorbed visible light and partly converted into heat to promote the hydrogen evolution reaction.The presence of heterojunctions inhibited the photogenerated electron-hole recombination.The graphite-carbon layer provided a stable channel for electron transfer,and the presence of magnetic CFO made recycle easier.Under the action of photothermal assistance and heterojunction,the hydrogen evolution rate of the optimal CFO@C/CZS was 80.79 mmol g^(-1) h^(-1),which was 2.55 times and 260.61 times of that of pure CZS and CFO@C,respectively.Notably,the composite samples also exhibit excellent stability and a wide range of environmental adaptability.Through experimental tests and first-principles simulation calculation methods,the plausible mechanism of photoactivity enhancement was proposed.This work provided a feasible strategy of photothermal assistance for the development of heterojunction photocatalysts with distinctive hydrogen evolution. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Magnetic anchor technique(MAT)has been applied in laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic appendectomy,but has not been reported in laparoscopic partial hepatectomy.AIM To evaluate the feasibility of the MAT in laparoscopic left lateral segment liver resection.METHODS Retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of eight patients who underwent laparoscopic left lateral segment liver resection assisted by MAT in our department from July 2020 to November 2021.The Y-Z magnetic anchor devices(Y-Z MADs)was independently designed and developed by the author of this paper,which consists of the anchor magnet and magnetic grasping apparatus.Surgical time,intraoperative blood loss,intraoperative accidents,operator experience,postoperative incision pain score,postoperative complications,and other indicators were evaluated and analyzed.RESULTS All eight patients underwent a MAT-assisted laparoscopic left lateral segment liver resection,including three patients undertaking conventional 5-port and five patients having a transumbilical single-port operation.The mean operation time was 138±34.32 min(range 95-185 min)and the mean intraoperative blood loss was 123±88.60 mL(range 20-300 mL).No adverse events occurred during the operation.The Y-Z MADs showed good workability and maneuverability in both tissue and organ exposure.In particular,the operators did not experience either a“chopstick”or“sword-fight”effect in the single-port laparoscopic operation.CONCLUSION The results show that the MAT is safe and feasible for laparoscopic left lateral segment liver resection,especially,exhibits its unique abettance for transumbilical single-port laparoscopic left lateral segment liver resection. 展开更多

Cooperative autonomous air combat of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)is one of the main combat modes in future air warfare,which becomes even more complicated with highly changeable situation and uncertain information of the opponents.As such,this paper presents a cooperative decision-making method based on incomplete information dynamic game to generate maneuver strategies for multiple UAVs in air combat.Firstly,a cooperative situation assessment model is presented to measure the overall combat situation.Secondly,an incomplete information dynamic game model is proposed to model the dynamic process of air combat,and a dynamic Bayesian network is designed to infer the tactical intention of the opponent.Then a reinforcement learning framework based on multiagent deep deterministic policy gradient is established to obtain the perfect Bayes-Nash equilibrium solution of the air combat game model.Finally,a series of simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,and the simulation results show effective synergies and cooperative tactics. 展开更多

Adventitious root formation is a bottleneck during vegetative proliferation.Potassium(K^(+))is an essential macronutrient for plants.K^(+)accumulation from the soil and its distribution to the different plant organs is mediated by K^(+)transporters named K^(+)transporter(KT),K^(+)uptake(KUP),or high-affinity K^(+)(HAK).This study aimed to identify members of the HAK gene family in apples and to characterize the effects of K^(+)supply on adventitious root formation and on the expression of HAK genes and the genes that putatively control auxin transport,signaling,and cell fate during adventitious root formation.In this study,34 HAK genes(MdHAKs)were identified in the apple(Malus×domestica‘Golden Delicious’)genome.A phylogenetic analysis divided MdHAKs into four clusters(Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,andⅣ),comprising 16,1,4,and 13 genes,respectively.The syntenic relationships revealed that 62.5%of the total MdHAK genes arise from genomic duplication events.Chromosome location,domain structure,motif analysis,and physico-chemical characteristics were subsequently investigated.Furthermore,the application of K^(+)indicated the emergence of adventitious roots at 8 d and produced more adventitious roots at 16 d than the K^(+)-free control(CK)treatment.In addition,various MdHAKs showed root-specific expression in B9 apple rootstock stem cuttings and enhanced expression during the initiation and emergence stages of adventitious root formation in response to K^(+)treatment.Additionally,K^(+)treatment enhanced the expression levels of MdPIN1,MdPIN2,and MdAUX1.Further data indicated that a higher expression of MdWOX11,MdLBD16,and MdLBD29 and of cell cycle-related genes contributed to the auxin-stimulated adventitious root formation in response to K^(+). 展开更多

本文提出一种基于组合赋权法的电缆风险评估方法,对电缆当前运行状态进行风险评估,根据评估结果设定相应的预警等级并给予反馈,同时将风险等级进行可视化展示。首先,选取影响电缆运行状态的指标建立风险评估体系。其次,建立电缆在不同... 本文提出一种基于组合赋权法的电缆风险评估方法,对电缆当前运行状态进行风险评估,根据评估结果设定相应的预警等级并给予反馈,同时将风险等级进行可视化展示。首先,选取影响电缆运行状态的指标建立风险评估体系。其次,建立电缆在不同运行状态下的状态量数值基准范围;根据电缆运行实时数据与不同运行状态下状态量数值基准范围的比较,计算电缆属于某种状态的可能性,构成模糊评判矩阵;采用组合赋权法确定各状态量对于各故障状态的权重,将权重代入模糊评判矩阵得到基于最大隶属度原则的最终评判矩阵。然后,采用专家打分的方式对电缆不同故障状态所造成后果的严重性进行打分。最后,基于专家打分及故障发生概率,计算电缆当前运行状态的风险值,对电缆进行风险等级评估,并将风险预警等级可视化。所提方法能够实现电缆风险等级评估及可视化,可对当前风险等级可能发生的情况进行预测并提出预防建议。 展开更多

Eph receptor A4 regulates motor neuron ferroptosis in spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats

Previous studies have shown that the receptor tyrosine kinase Eph receptor A4(EphA4) is abundantly expressed in the nervous system. The EphA4 signaling pathway plays an important role in regulating motor neuron ferroptosis in motor neuron disease. To investigate whether EphA4 signaling is involved in ferroptosis in spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury, in this study we established a rat model of spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury by clamping the left carotid artery and the left subclavian artery. We found that spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury increased EphA4 expression in the neurons of anterior horn, markedly worsened ferroptosis-related indicators, substantially increased the number of mitochondria exhibiting features consistent with ferroptosis, promoted deterioration of motor nerve function, increased the permeability of the blood-spinal cord barrier, and increased the rate of motor neuron death. Inhibition of EphA4 largely rescued these effects. However, intrathecal administration of the ferroptosis inducer Erastin counteracted the beneficial effects conferred by treatment with the EphA4 inhibitor. Mass spectrometry and a PubMed search were performed to identify proteins that interact with EphA4, with the most notable being Beclin1 and Erk1/2. Our results showed that inhibition of EphA4 expression reduced binding to Beclin1, markedly reduced p-Beclin1, and reduced Beclin1-XCT complex formation. Inhibition of EphA4 also reduced binding to p-Erk1/2 and markedly decreased the expression of c-Myc, transferrin receptor 1, and p-Erk1/2. Additionally, we observed co-localization of EphA4 and p-Beclin1 and of EphA4 and p-ERK1/2 in neurons in the anterior horn. In conclusion, EphA4 participates in regulating ferroptosis of spinal motor neurons in the anterior horn in spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury by promoting formation of the Beclin1-XCT complex and activating the Erk1/2/c-Myc/transferrin receptor 1 axis. 展开更多

Objective:The novel coronavirus(severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2)has been spreading worldwide since December 2019,posing a serious danger to human health and socioeconomic development.A large number of clinical trials have revealed that coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)results in multi-organ damage including the urogenital system.This study aimed to explore the potential mechanisms of genitourinary damage associated with COVID-19 infection through bioinformatics and molecular simulation analysis.Methods:We used multiple publicly available databases to explore the expression patterns of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2),transmembrane serine protease 2(TMPRSS2),and CD147 in major organs in the healthy and disease-specific populations,particularly the genitourinary organs.Single-cell RNA sequencing was used to analyze the cell-specific expression patterns of ACE2,TMPRSS2,CD147,cytokine receptors,and cytokine interacting proteins in genitourinary organs,such as the bladder,kidney,prostate,and testis.Additionally,gene set enrichmentanalysis was used to investigate the relationship between testosterone levels and COVID-19 vulnerability in patients with prostate cancer.Results:The results revealed that ACE2,TMPRSS2,and CD147 were highly expressed in normal urogenital organs.Then,they were also highly expressed in multiple tumors and chronic kidney diseases.Additionally,ACE2,TMPRSS2,and CD147 were significantly expressed in a range of cells in urogenital organs according to single-cell RNA sequencing.Cytokine receptors and cytokine interacting proteins,especially CCL2,JUN,and TIMP1,were commonly highly expressed in urogenital organs.Finally,gene set enrichment analysis results showed that high testosterone levels in prostate cancer patients were significantly related to the JAK-STAT signaling pathway and the Toll-like receptor signaling pathway which were associated with COVID-19.Conclusion:Our study provides new insights into the potential mechanisms of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 damage to urogenital organs from multiple perspectives,which may draw the attention of urologists to COVID-19 and contribute to the development of targeted drugs. 展开更多

The effects of sulfuric acid-associated mechanical pretreatment on the hydrolysis behavior of pine sawdust were investigated in this study.Sulfuric acid could act as an acidic catalyst to depolymerize holocellulose through cleavage of the glycosidic bonds,the dissociation energies of which were supplied by the impact of a ball on pine sawdust,during milling.The destruction of glycosidic and hydrogen bonds in pine sawdust resulted in a decrease of crystallinity and an increase of water solubility.The sulfuric acid could promote the hydrolysis of holocellulose and its hydrolysis products.It also destroyed the chemical linkages between holocellulose and lignin during ball milling.The cleavage of chemical linkages with holocellulose made lignin more difficult to hydrolyze in subcritical water,and higher activation energy was needed to hydrolyze pretreated pine sawdust at higher reaction temperatures.It also led to the formation of glucose char and aromatic-linked polymer char from the hydrolysis products of holocellulose. 展开更多

The centralized and automated management of the ASFS using software has become a challenge, for which we have developed the TMRT Active Surface System Control Software(TASCS). This paper describes the design and implementation of TASCS for device control,status monitoring, human-computer interaction, and data management functionalities. TASCS adopts the opensource Tango Controls framework and distributes middleware technology to realize real-time automated adjustment of the primary reflector through remote centralized control of a large number of actuators. At present, it has been successfully deployed on the TMRT and has played an important role in Event Horizon Telescope observations. 展开更多

In order to optimize the wood internal quality detection and evaluation system and improve the comprehensive utilization rate of wood,this paper invented a set of log internal defect detection and visualization system by using the ultrasonic dry coupling agent method.The detection and visualization analysis of internal log defects were realized through log specimen test.The main conclusions show that the accuracy,reliability and practicability of the system for detecting the internal defects of log specimens have been effectively verified.The system can make the edge of the detected image smooth by interpolation algorithm,and the edge detection algorithm can be used to detect and reflect the location of internal defects of logs accurately.The content mentioned above has good application value for meeting the requirement of increasing demand for wood resources and improving the automation level of wood nondestructive testing instruments. 展开更多

Janus WSSe monolayer is a novel two-dimensional(2D)material that breaks the out-of-plane mirror symmetry and has a large built-in electric field.These features lead to sizable Rashba spin-orbit coupling and enhanced nonlinear optical properties,making it a promising material platform for various spintronic and optoelectronic device applications.In recent years,nonlinear photocurrent responses such as shift and injection currents were found to be closely related to the quantum geometry and Berry curvature of materials,indicating that these responses can serve as powerful tools for probing the novel quantum properties of materials.In this work,we investigate the second-order nonlinear photocurrent responses in a Janus WSSe monolayer theoretically based on first-principles calculations and the Wannier interpolation method.It is demonstrated that the Janus WSSe monolayer exhibits significant out-of-plane nonlinear photocurrent coefficients,which is distinct from the nonJanus structures.Our results also suggest that the second-order nonlinear photocurrent response in the Janus WSSe monolayer can be effectively tuned by biaxial strain or an external electric field.Thus,the Janus WSSe monolayer offers a unique opportunity for both exploring nonlinear optical phenomena and realizing flexible 2D optoelectronic nanodevices. 展开更多

Identification of functional genes regulating gastric cancer progression using integrated bioinformatics analysis

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is one of the most common cancers and has a poor prognosis.Treatment of GC has remained unchanged over the past few years.AIM To investigate the potential therapeutic targets and related regulatory biomarkers of GC.METHODS We obtained the public GC transcriptome sequencing dataset from the Gene Expression Omnibus database.The datasets contained 348 GC tissues and 141 healthy tissues.In total,251 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified,including 187 down-regulated genes and 64 up-regulated genes.The DEGs’enriched functions and pathways include Progesterone-mediated oocyte maturation,cell cycle,and oocyte meiosis,Hepatitis B,and the Hippo signaling pathway.Survival analysis showed that BUB1,MAD2L1,CCNA2,CCNB1,and BIRC5 may be associated with regulation of the cell cycle phase mitotic spindle checkpoint pathway.We selected 26 regulated genes with the aid of the protein-protein interaction network analyzed by Molecular Complex Detection.RESULTS We focused on three critical genes,which were highly expressed in GC,but negatively related to patient survival.Furthermore,we found that knockdown of Yu K et al.Biochemical analysis in GC WJCC https://www.wjgnet.com 5024 July 26,2023 Volume 11 Issue 21 BIRC5,TRIP13 or UBE2C significantly inhibited cell proliferation and induced cell apoptosis.In addition,knockdown of BIRC5,TRIP13 or UBE2C increased cellular sensitivity to cisplatin.CONCLUSION Our study identified significantly upregulated genes in GC with a poor prognosis using integrated bioinformatics methods. 展开更多

Wind turbine planetary gearboxes usually work under time-varying conditions,leading to nonstationary vibration signals.These signals often consist of multiple time-varying components with close instantaneous frequencies.Therefore,high-quality time-frequency analysis(TFA)is needed to extract the time-frequency feature from such nonstationary signals for fault diagnosis.However,it is difficult to obtain high-quality timefrequency representations(TFRs)through conventional TFA methods due to low resolution and time-frequency blurs.To address this issue,we propose a new TFA method termed the proportion-extracting synchrosqueezing chirplet transform(PESCT).Firstly,the proportion-extracting chirplet transform is employed to generate highresolution underlying TFRs.Then,the energy concentration of the underlying TFRs is enhanced via the synchrosqueezing transform.Finally,wind turbine planetary gearbox fault can be diagnosed by analysis of the dominant time-varying components revealed by the concentrated TFRs with high resolution.The proposed PESCT is suitable for achieving high-quality TFRs for complicated nonstationary signals.Numerical and experimental analyses validate the effectiveness of the PESCT in characterizing the nonstationary signals from wind turbine planetary gearboxes. 展开更多
