Flexible quasi-solid zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)have large potential in power applications due to the low price, wearable nature, safety, and high capacity. However, the use of transition metal sulfide cathodes in ZIBs has not been studied extensively and the underlying mechanism and theoretical basis of this type of batteries are not well understood.Herein,a highly active cobalt-doped Ni_(3)S_(2) porous nanocone framework(C12NS)is designed and demonstrated as a zinc-ion battery electrode.First-principles calculation and experiments reveal that the cobalt dopant improves the battery properties greatly. The assembled flexible zinc-ion battery exhibits a high specific capacity of 453.3 mAh g^(−1)at a current density of 0.4 A g^(−1)in as well as excellent cycling stability as manifested by a capacity retention ratio of 89.5%at a current density of 4 A g^(−1)after 5000 cycles. The peak energy density of 553.9 Wh kg^(−1)is also superior to those of most recently reported NiCo-based zinc-ion batteries.More importantly, the flexible battery can be operated under severe mechanical bending and even continues to work after physical puncturing without showing leakage. These exciting results not only reveal a novel design of cathode materials for zinc-based batteries, but also suggest their immense commercial potential in portable and wearable electronics. 展开更多

The change in the toroidal rotation of plasma caused by electron cyclotron wave(ECW) injection has been observed in EAST. It is found that the response of the rotation is similar for all possible ECW toroidal injection angles. The core toroidal rotation velocity increases in the co-current direction along with a rise in the plasma temperature and stored energy. The profile of the electron temperature, ion temperature and toroidal rotation velocity gradually become peaked. The change in toroidal rotation in the core increases with the ECW injection power. Different behavior is observed when the ECWs are injected into low hybrid current drive(LHCD) target plasmas, where the electron temperature and rotation profile become peaked, while the ion temperature profile flattens after ECW injection, suggesting different transport characteristics in energy and momentum. 展开更多

Transition metal phosphides(TMPs)/carbonaceous matrices have gradually attracted attention in the field of energy storage. In this study,we presented nickel phosphide(Ni2P)nanoparticles anchored to nitrogen-doped carbon porous spheres(Ni2P/NC)by using metal-organic framework-Ni as the template. The comprehensive encapsulation architecture provides closer contact among the Ni2P nanoparticles and greatly improves the structural integrity as well as the electronic conductivity, resulting in excellent lithium storage performance. The reversible specific capacity of 286.4 mA hg^-1 has been obtained even at a high current density of 3.0 Ag^-1 and 450.4 mA hg^-1 is obtained after 800 cycles at 0.5 Ag^-1.Furthermore,full batteries based on LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2||Ni2P/NC exhibit both good rate capability and cycling life. This study provides a powerful and indepth insight on new advanced electrodes in high-performance energy storage devices. 展开更多
