Migrant workers, as a special social group, need information on multiple topics, including economics, politics and law, culture and social interactions. However, for subjective and objective reasons, including the fact that demand exceeds supply in the labor market or their being unable to afford the information, their requirements cannot be even partially fulfilled. It is therefore indeed bard for their information requirements to be reflected authentically and their potential information competence atrophies for lack of participation in real-life activities.
