A heavy hammer or a small type of rocket is used to strike the pile top and the detectors are used to record vibra- tion graphs. An expression of higher degree of strain (deformation force) is introduced. It is testified theoretically that the displacement, velocity and acceleration cannot be obtained by simple integral acceleration and differential velocity when long displacement and high strain exist, namely when the pile phase generates a whole slip relative to the soil body. That is to say that there are non-linear relations between them. It is educed accordingly that the force P and displacement S are calculated from the amplitude of wave train and (dynamic) P-S curve is drew so as to determine the yield points. Further, a method of determining the vertical bearing capacity for single-pile is dis- cussed. A static load test is utilized to check the result of dynamic test and determine the correlative constants of dynamic-static P(Q)-S curve.展开更多

An IP based cellular network model with WCDMA FDD air interface and IP based packet traffic is adopted. No special network entities and signaling for handoff are added in our network model. The vibration and wave figures are recorded, and the dynamic and static displacements are measured by different transducers near the top of piles when the pile is im- pacted by a heavy hammer or micro-rocket. By observing the transformation coefficient of driving energy (total energy), the consumed energy of wave motion and vibration and so on, the vertical bearing capacity for single pile is measured and calculated. Then, using the vibration wave diagram, the dynamic relation curves between the force (P) and the displacement (S) is calculated and the yield points are determined. Using the static-loading test, the dynamic results are checked and the relative constants of dynamic-static P-S curves are determined. Then the sub- sidence quantity corresponding to the bearing capacity is determined. Moreover, the shaped quality of the pile body can be judged from the formation of P-S curves.展开更多
A multi-event and multi-station inverse method is presented in the paper to simultaneously estimate the seismic moments (M0) and source corner frequencies (fc) of several Jiashi (Xinjiang, China) earthquakes, as well...A multi-event and multi-station inverse method is presented in the paper to simultaneously estimate the seismic moments (M0) and source corner frequencies (fc) of several Jiashi (Xinjiang, China) earthquakes, as well as the apparent Lg Q models for the paths from Jiashi to eight seismic stations (WMQ, AAK, TLG, MAKZ, KUR, VOS, ZRN and CHK) in Central Asia. The resultant seismic moments correlate well with the M0 values obtained by Harvard University using the centroid moment tensor (CMT) inversion and the surface-wave magnitudes as well. After the correction by a typical value of average radiation coefficient for regional SV waves, the M0 values from Lg spectral inversion are still close to the corresponding values obtained from CMT inversion. The obtained ap- parent Q0Lg values (Lg Q at 1 Hz) are consistent with the tectonic features of corresponding propagation paths. The Q0Lg values are 351±87, 349±86 and 300±27 for the paths from Jiashi to AAK, TLG and MAKZ, respectively. They are smaller than Q0Lg values for the paths to KUR, VOS, ZRN and CHK, which are 553±72, 569±58, 550±57 and 603±65, respectively. These results agree with the condition that the paths to AAK, TLG and MAKZ mainly propagate through the mountainous Tianshan area where relatively strong seismic activities and large variations of topography are exhibited, while the paths to KUR, VOS, ZRN and CHK mainly propagate through the stable area of Kazak platform. The Q0Lg value for the path to WMQ is 462±56. This is also in agreement with the condition that the path to WMQ is basically along the border area between Tianshan Mountain and Tarim Basin, and along this path the variations of topography and crustal thickness are moderate in comparison with that along the path to MAKZ.展开更多

Our results showed that TGFβ 1 gene transfer had no effect on the biological characteristics and the activated supernatant of transfected osteoblasts stimulated proliferation and inhibited ALP activity of osteoblasts. TGFβ 1 gene transfer could promote the expression of TGFβ 1 and the biological characteristics of transfected osteoblasts were stable, which might be helpful for gene therapy of bone defects in vivo.展开更多

And also,the Asn-Gly bond was designed to faciliate isolation of the target protein.The fusion gene was cloned into the expression vector, pPIC/9K. The constructs were transformed into HIS4 mutant strain GS115 by electroporation. Both SDS-PAGE analysis and Western blot analysis indicated that the fusion protein was expressed successfully.展开更多
Objective: To seek for a new method of integrated Chinese and western medicine in treating ankylosing spondylitis (AS) to control the disease development, shorten the therapeutic course and lower disability rate. Meth...Objective: To seek for a new method of integrated Chinese and western medicine in treating ankylosing spondylitis (AS) to control the disease development, shorten the therapeutic course and lower disability rate. Methods: Patients of AS enrolled in this study were 106 cases in Group A, who were persistently treated with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine (TCM WM) for over 10 months, 48 cases in Group B treated with WM and 34 cases in Group C treated with non steroid anti inflammatory and analgesic agents. They were followed up for 2 years. Results: (1) Short term effect: The markedly effective rate in the 3 groups was 73.58%, 47.92% and 5.88% respectively, and the total effective rate was 96.23%, 87.50% and 41.18% respectively. The comparison of Group A with Group B and C showed significant difference, the effect in Group A was superior to that in Group B and Group C (χ 2=10.58, P <0.01 and χ 2=67.76, P <0.01 respectively). (2) Results of 2 year follow up: the recurrence rate in Group A was 18.37% (9/49), it was insignificantly different from that in Group B (7/23, 30.43%,χ 2=1.32, P >0.05), but significantly different from that in Group C (8/12, 66.67%,χ 2=11.19, P <0.01). Conclusion: Long term TCM WM therapy, which combined the advantages of Chinese and western medicine, was a practical method in treating AS with reliable effect, few side effects, and therefore is worth popularizing.展开更多
