To the Editor:The oocyte utility rate(OUR)describes the competence of oocytes to develop into usable embryos that can be transferred or cryopreserved.Except for maternal age,abnormalities due to intra-ovarian and/or e...To the Editor:The oocyte utility rate(OUR)describes the competence of oocytes to develop into usable embryos that can be transferred or cryopreserved.Except for maternal age,abnormalities due to intra-ovarian and/or extra-ovarian factors may affect the oocyte-granulosa cell interaction,maturation,and zygote development.In this study,we defined OUR as the number of applicable embryos(blastomere and blastocyst)divided by the number of oocytes retrieved from the corresponding stimulation cycle.We compared high and low OUR of cycles with at least 15 oocytes to determine the factors contributing to the huge gap between good and poor OUR to guide promising in vitro fertilization(IVF)outcomes.展开更多
To the Editor:The unicornuate uterus arises from the anastomotic failure of the paired Mullerian ducts in which simultaneously either of them is underdeveloped or absent,termed the "rudimentary horn".The hom...To the Editor:The unicornuate uterus arises from the anastomotic failure of the paired Mullerian ducts in which simultaneously either of them is underdeveloped or absent,termed the "rudimentary horn".The hom is connected to the unicornuate side by either a minimally connected narrow fibrous band of tissue or a broad,firm muscular attachment;the muscular layer of the horn varies from thick and strong to thin and malformed. The rarest and most severe complication is rudimentary horn pregnancy (RHP),usually results in catastrophic consequences. We refer to 11 RHP cases from Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH)since 1980.展开更多

It is also shown that the solution of the modified differential-difference ...In this paper, we investigate a modified differential-difference KP equation which is shown to have a continuum limit into the m KP equation. It is also shown that the solution of the modified differential-difference KP equation is related to the solution of the differential-difference KP equation through a Miura transformation. We first present the Grammian solution to the modified differential-difference KP equation, and then produce a coupled modified differential-difference KP system by applying the source generation procedure. The explicit N-soliton solution of the resulting coupled modified differential-difference system is expressed in compact forms by using the Grammian determinant and Casorati determinant. We also construct and solve another form of the self-consistent sources extension of the modified differential-difference KP equation, which constitutes a B?cklund transformation for the differentialdifference KP equation with self-consistent sources.展开更多
