Higher-Order Corrections to Earth's Ionosphere Shocks

Nonlinear shock wave structures in unmagnetized collisionless viscous plasmas composed fluid of positive(negative) ions and nonthermally electron distribution are examined. For ion shock formation, a reductive perturbation technique applied to derive Burgers equation for lowest-order potential. As the shock amplitude decreasing or enlarging,its steepness and velocity deviate from Burger equation. Burgers type equation with higher order dissipation must be obtained to avoid this deviation. Solution for the compined two equations has been derived using renormalization analysis. Effects of higher-order, positive- negative mass ratio Q, electron nonthermal parameter δ and kinematic viscosities coefficient of positive(negative) ions η1 and η2 on the electrostatic shocks in Earth's ionosphere are also argued. 展开更多

The nonlinear properties of small amplitude electron-acoustic(EA) solitary and shock waves in a homogeneous system of unmagnetized collisionless plasma with nonextensive distribution for hot electrons have been investigated.A reductive perturbation method used to obtain the Kadomstev-Petviashvili-Burgers equation.Bifurcation analysis has been discussed for non-dissipative system in the absence of Burgers term and reveals different classes of the traveling wave solutions.The obtained solutions are related to periodic and soliton waves and their behavior are shown graphically.In the presence of the Burgers term,the EXP-function method is used to solve the Kadomstev-Petviashvih-Burgers equation and the obtained solution is related to shock wave.The obtained results may be helpful in better conception of waves propagation in various space plasma environments as well as in inertial confinement fusion laboratory plasmas. 展开更多

The nonlinear characteristics of the dust acoustic(DA)waves are studied in a homogeneous,collisionless,unmagnetized,and dissipative dusty plasma composed of negatively charged dusty grains,superthermal electrons,and nonextensive ions.Sagdeev pseudopotential technique has been employed to study the large amplitude DA waves.It(Sagdeev pseudopotential)has an evidence for the existence of compressive and rarefractive solitons.The global features of the phase portrait are investigated to understand the possible types of solutions of the Sagdeev form.On the other hand,the reductive perturbation technique has been used to study small amplitude DA waves and yields the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers(Kd V-Burgers)equation that exhibits both soliton and shock waves.The behavior of the obtained results of both large and small amplitude is investigated graphically in terms of the plasma parameters like dust kinematic viscosity,superthermal and nonextensive parameters. 展开更多

The basic set of fluid equations can be reduced to the nonlinear Kortewege-de Vries(KdV)and nonlinear Schro¨dinger(NLS)equations.The rational solutions for the two equations has been obtained.The exact amplitude of the nonlinear ion-acoustic solitary wave can be obtained directly without resorting to any successive approximation techniques by a direct analysis of the given field equations.The Sagdeev’s potential is obtained in terms of ion acoustic velocity by simply solving an algebraic equation.The soliton and double layer solutions are obtained as a small amplitude approximation.A comparison between the exact soliton solution and that obtained from the reductive perturbation theory are also discussed. 展开更多

Wave properties of solitons in an unmagnetized four-component dusty plasma system contains isothermal distributed electrons, mobile ions, and negative-positive dusty grains have been examined. To study DIA wave properties,a reductive perturbation (RP) analysis is used. By a reductive perturbation (RP) analysis under convenient coordinate transformation, the three dimension Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation in cylindrical coordinates is obtained. The effects of dust grain charge on soliton pulse structures are studied. More specifically, solitary profile depending on the axial,radial, and polar angle coordinates with time is discussed. This investigation may be viable in plasmas of the Earth’s mesosphere. 展开更多
