Satellite altimetry has been widely used in measuring ocean topography from space. The conventional altimeter system is the nadir radar altimeter system which has the limitations of one-dimensional measurement and is unable to get both high temporal and spatial resolution. The InSAR altimetry system using InSAR altimeter instead of nadir radar altimeter is an improvement which can get both high cross-track and along-track resolution and wide swath. However, the conventional SAR interferometry only can achieve meter level height accuracy. This paper focuses on a method of radar echo-tracking for InSAR altimeter system in order to correct the slant range measurements and finally to improve the height measurement accuracy to several centimeters' level. Radar slant range (from observed pixels to radar antenna) estimation error affects the height measurement accuracy badly, nevertheless not considered in the conventional SAR interferometry. The proposed method is ameliorated based on the traditional echo-model used in nadir radar altimeter system, focusing on the echo signals from observed pixels with different incident angles. Simulations of sea surface height measurements are performed in the last part of this paper, and the conclusions are drawn that, with corrected slant range, the accuracy of InSAR altimetry can be much better than the conventional SAR interferometry. 展开更多

LNA Design for Future S Band Satellite Navigation and 4G LTE Applications

A good design of LNA for S band satellite navigation receivers and 4G LTE wireless communication system has been implemented in this paper.Due to increased congestion in the present L band,the S Band frequency from 2483.5-2500 MHz has been allocated for the future satellite navigation systems.For this purpose ATF-34143 amplifier(pHEMT)having high electron mobility and fast switching response has been chosen due to its very low Noise Figure(NF).The amplifier has been designed having bandwidth of 0.8 GHz from 1.8-2.6 GHz.Because of the large bandwidth,the amplifier could serve many wireless communication applications including 4G LTE mobile communication at 2.1 GHz.The design was implemented using the micro strip technology offering extremely low noise figure of 0.312 dB and 0.377 dB for 2.1 GHz and 2.49 GHz respectively.The gain of the amplifier was low and found to be 10.281 dB and 9.175 dB.For the purpose of increasing the gain of an amplifier,the proposed LNA design was then optimized by using Wilkinson Power Divider(WPD).The Balanced LNA design using WPD offered very low noise figure of 0.422 dB and 0.532 dB respectively and the gain was considerably increased and was found to be 20.087 dB and 17.832 dB respectively against 2.1 GHz and 2.49 GHz.Simulations and measurements were taken in Agilent Advanced Design System(ADS)software.The suggested LNA can be used for a variety of wireless communications applications including the future S band satellite navigation systems. 展开更多

The Internet has penetrated all aspects of human society and has promoted social progress.Cyber-crimes in many forms are commonplace and are dangerous to society and national security.Cybersecurity has become a major concern for citizens and governments.The Internet functions and software applications play a vital role in cybersecurity research and practice.Most of the cyber-attacks are based on exploits in system or application software.It is of utmost urgency to investigate software security problems.The demand for Wi-Fi applications is proliferating but the security problem is growing,requiring an optimal solution from researchers.To overcome the shortcomings of the wired equivalent privacy(WEP)algorithm,the existing literature proposed security schemes forWi-Fi protected access(WPA)/WPA2.However,in practical applications,the WPA/WPA2 scheme still has some weaknesses that attackers exploit.To destroy a WPA/WPA2 security,it is necessary to get a PSK pre-shared key in pre-shared key mode,or an MSK master session key in the authentication mode.Brute-force cracking attacks can get a phase-shift keying(PSK)or a minimum shift keying(MSK).In real-world applications,many wireless local area networks(LANs)use the pre-shared key mode.Therefore,brute-force cracking of WPA/WPA2-PSK is important in that context.This article proposes a new mechanism to crack theWi-Fi password using a graphical processing unit(GPU)and enhances the efficiency through parallel computing of multiple GPU chips.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is effective and provides a procedure to enhance the security of Wi-Fi networks. 展开更多

In this paper,we propose a two-tiered segment-based Device-toDevice(S-D2D)caching approach to decrease the startup and playback delay experienced by Video-on-Demand(VoD)users in a cellular network.In the S-D2D caching approach cache space of each mobile device is divided into two cache-blocks.The rst cache-block reserve for caching and delivering the beginning portion of the most popular video les and the second cacheblock caches the latter portion of the requested video les‘fully or partially’depending on the users’video watching behaviour and popularity of videos.In this approach before caching,video is divided and grouped in a sequence of xed-sized fragments called segments.To control the admission to both cacheblocks and improve the system throughput,we further propose and evaluate three cache admission control algorithms.We also propose a video segment access protocol to elaborate on how to cache and share the video segments in a segmentation based D2D caching architecture.We formulate an optimisation problem and nd the optimal cache probability and beginning-segment size that maximise the cache-throughput probability of beginning-segments.To solve the non-convex cache-throughout maximisation problem,we derive an iterative algorithm,where the optimal solution is derived in each step.We used extensive simulations to evaluate the performance of our proposed S-D2D caching system. 展开更多
