The approach uses eigenvalues of the coherency matrix as to construct s...A simple and fast approach based on eigenvalue similarity metric for Polarimetric SAR image segmentation of Land Cover is proposed in this paper. The approach uses eigenvalues of the coherency matrix as to construct similarity metric of clustering algorithm to segment SAR image. The Mahalanobis distance is used to metric pairwise similarity between pixels to avoid the manual scale parameter tuning in previous spectral clustering method. Furthermore, the spatial coherence constraints and spectral clustering ensemble are employed to stabilize and improve the segmentation performance. All experiments are carried out on three sets of Polarimetric SAR data. The experimental results show that the proposed method is superior to other comparison methods.展开更多
Selective molecular recognition in water is routine for bioreceptors,but remains challenging for synthetic hosts.This is principally because noncovalent interactions are usually less efficient in aqueous environments....Selective molecular recognition in water is routine for bioreceptors,but remains challenging for synthetic hosts.This is principally because noncovalent interactions are usually less efficient in aqueous environments.By mimicking the cavity feature of bioreceptors,Prof.Wei Jiang proposed and clarified the concept of“endo-functionalized cavity”.Through situating polar binding sites into a deep hydrophobic cavity,we designed and synthesized several macrocyclic hosts,among which amide naphthotubes are the most representative.The hosts can selectively recognize various polar molecules including organic micropollutants,drug molecules,and chiral molecules in water by employing the hydrophobic effect and shielded hydrogen bonding.In addition,these biomimetic hosts have been applied in spectroscopic analysis,adsorptive separation and self-assembly.In this review,we provide an overview of recent advances on amide naphthotubes with special emphasis on the efforts of Jiang's group.We are convinced that these biomimetic macrocycles will make further contributions to supramolecular chemistry and beyond.展开更多

Introduction:Newer skin tests,including the ESAT6-CFP10(EC)skin test,were recommended for diagnosing Mycobacterium tuberculosis(M.tb)infection.However,no data exist assessing the diagnostic performance of the EC skin ...Introduction:Newer skin tests,including the ESAT6-CFP10(EC)skin test,were recommended for diagnosing Mycobacterium tuberculosis(M.tb)infection.However,no data exist assessing the diagnostic performance of the EC skin test among foreign students with different skin tones.Methods:A cohort study at Nanjing Medical University screened incoming foreign freshmen.The EC skin test was used to assess for M.tb infection,and results were read at 24,48,72,and 96-hours postadministration.Results:Among 96 participants,M.tb infection rates at 24,48,72,and 96-hours post-injection were 3.13%,7.29%,13.54%,and 9.38%,respectively.While infection rates were lower among individuals with darker skin tones,the difference was not statistically significant(P=0.186),and variations were consistent across different measurement times.Trajectory analysis revealed 5.3%in the continuousincreasing group,86.5%in the low-stable group,and 5.2%in the elevated-decreasing group.Notably,participants in the elevated-decreasing group had lighter skin tones,with trajectory patterns consistent across different skin colors.Discussion:The EC skin test is safe,and redness diameter is a more reliable indicator than induration.Results should be collected within 48 to 72 hours,with verification at 72 hours crucial if initial results are negative.Importantly,skin color does not affect EC skin test outcomes.展开更多
